Šarena ptica/A colorful bird
In this watercolor, the bird dominates, but not as a precisely rendered figure, but as an experience, as an echo of its presence in a moment of silence. With the technique of free strokes and a rich and unobtrusive color palette, I think I have captured what cannot be measured, fragility, vigilance and transience.
The colors blend in a play of light and shadow, giving the bird an almost dreamlike aura. Lilac and emerald shades fade into each other, as if a bird has just appeared from the fog - or will fly away at any moment.
Her gaze is clear and vivid, but the body remains barely outlined, with minimal detail. This minimalism is the strength of the drawing, it leaves room for breath, for thought, for the feeling of freedom.
The branch on which the bird sits is made with strong, energetic strokes, in contrast to the tenderness of the figure itself. This reflects the philosophy of this work: life is a constant movement between lightness and solidity, between silence and strength
