Thinking about Modigliani (oil on paper)

Hello hivers, an happy Friday to you all! The weekend is just around the corner, tomorrow will be the Valentine Day and we will open our studio to citizen with a couple of our friends who will play (trombone and double bass) jazz music for around 30 - 40 minutes. They did the same months ago inside our lab and it was fantastic, so I'm sure it will be a nice way to spend the afternoon of the Valentine Day. ❤️

Today I'm here to share with you an exercise I did yesterday. I was exercising my hands studying some paintings by the italian artist Amedeo Modigliani. You have to know people, when they watch my artworks for the first time, use to ask me if I was inspired by the Modigliani's figures, but I use to reply that the most part of my characters was inspired by some studies I did about Picasso.
Yesterday I decided it was time to study Modigliani in a better way, but at the end I couldn't resist and I gave my own "touch" to the exercise.
In the following pic you can see the final result:

I started studying a painting titled "Donna con cravatta nera" from a catalogue I have at home:

Maybe you noticed there are some (many, sure! ^_^ ) differences between my version and the original one by Modigliani. One of them is on the eyes. Modigliani used to painted the eyes with just a light color, but I decided to paint the face in my own illustrative style so I painted the eyes in my usual way.

It's an oil colors painting on 300 gsm paper in A3 size and I also took some pics while I was painting it so you can see the process too:
