Starting the 2026 painting on a new handmade journal.

Hello hivers, an happy New Year to you all!
I hope you said bye bye to the 2025 in a nice way. Me and my hubby stayed at home with our furry friends eating a good dinner and enjoying the time watching some episodes of a tv movie we like. Outside was really cold and to much idiot people was setting off firecrackers all around along the streets (I really hate when people do this between other people) and so I prefer to spend the last night of the year inside my home in a more quiet way. ❤️
Today I wanted to start the first day of the year painting something little, nice and also beautiful, so I thought to paint and create a new pocket journal!

In the following pic, you can see the final result of my new stitched journal:

As you can see, the subject I painted on the cover is a funny cat close to a tiny house.
To paint the cover I used my oil colors on 200 gsm paper and, as usual, I took some pics while I was painting the cover and creating the journal by my hands cutting the paper and stitching the pages:

I hope you like it! I had so much fun to paint and create it, so I'll make some other similar ones soon, stay tuned!
