Painting on a old train ticket (oil on paper)

Hello hivers, an happy Sunday to you all!
This is a long weekend in my country (Italy), because tomorrow December 8th is an holiday and the tradition day to start to decorate for Christmas (even if since some years the Christmas time starts before along the streets and inside the shops. 😊
Yesterday in the afternoon we opened our studio to everyone and we spent a very nice afternoon between old and new friends, while our artworks were in every corners. This kind of open the door" is always an awesome opportunity to meet the people, to exhibit our artworks and to spend cozy time all together.

This morning I woke up soon as usual to work with my brushes and colors during the first, quiet hours of the day, but I was too tired to start a new artwork and so I decided to paint something little on a old train ticket I found on a second hand book I had at home and, in the following pics, you can see the final result:

On the train ticket there is the date June 27th 1988 and the destination was a city close to mine. It's interesting to think about a ticket around 37 years old that become something different while I was painting an house on it. ❤️

Like I use to do, I took some pics while I was painting it with my oil colors so you can see the process too:

I hope you like it!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia
