Hello, Hiver friends and fellow art enthusiasts! How are you doing? A blessed Sunday to all. This is my coffee artwork I created today.

Explore a beautiful mountain lake scene brought to life with coffee as a medium.
The amazing textures add depth to this interesting artwork. This painting made of coffee encourages the viewers to value and appreciate the beauty of simplicity and the unusual use of everyday materials.

I used three painting brushes for this piece, and it took me an hour to finish it. For those interested in trying this unique medium, follow the step-by-step basic methods below.

Materials Needed:
πŸ‘‰ Watercolor Paper, sketching Paper, or stretched canvas
πŸ‘‰ Pencil and Eraser
πŸ‘‰ Coffee Powder
πŸ‘‰ 2 small cups ( lighter and darker shades)
πŸ‘‰ Ruler
πŸ‘‰ Clean Water
πŸ‘‰ Rag
πŸ‘‰ Paper napkin or paper towel

Brushes:
πŸ‘‰ Flat Brush /small #10, 10/32 / 8.0mm
πŸ‘‰ Liner Brush #2 / 2/32" / 1.6mm
πŸ‘‰ Filbert brush

Note: Keep all the materials ready before you start painting.

Basic Procedure:
β€’ Outline or sketch your painting reference.
β€’ Paint using a lighter shade of the background by creating a beautiful texture.
β€’ On the middle ground, paint the first layer of the subject.
β€’ The same procedure as the foreground.
β€’ Once the first layer is completely dry, you can proceed to paint with a darker shade of coffee.
β€’ Then add details to bring your painting to life. I used a liner brush for the thin details.

Take note: In putting details, you cannot have sharp lines and shapes unless it is completely dry.

Using two cups to split the brew into light and dark is a clever way to control values. Do you seal coffee paintings with a fixative or varnish to keep the tones stable over time, or just frame them under glass? Now I’m eyeing my morning coffee as paint, not just caffeine.
