Adapting (is Not Always Easy), Growth & HBD Conversions

Change sometimes makes me anxious but perhaps, it's part of the adapting process (at least in my case). We are in our ~~third~~ second month in this new place and the husband seems to have adapted well. While the vibe in this lil town is generally warm and we have had visits from some community folks, I'm yet to feel 100% at home. I haven't even visited the shops and stores nearby, lol! Well, fluff me as Tito Ed used to say.😁

I'm nearly there, yet to fully adapt so I still have things to do in that regard, and certainly something to work toward. Such a real-life objective to be had and I'm game!

Speaking of which, it's the weekend so it's update time for our growth toward our on-chain goals for week 36 of the year.

Hive Power (HP)

We ended last time with 22,829 HP and added 355 this week. That's because we had HPUD on the first where we manually powered up over a hundred HIVE. We also went a little crazier and staked sporadic amounts of HIVE daily so all helped with the increase.

Current: 23,184 HP
Week 35: 22,829 HP

The urge to grow my stacks faster while the crypto market is undergoing corrections suddenly surfaced. But it should also be a good idea to leave some decent amounts in liquid, as we know, the market sways sideward, upward, and downward so there are opportunities that I tend to keep missing because I'm not particularly smart at catching the right moments, lol!

By the way, have you ever come across conversations regarding stakes on-chain? I stumbled upon a few posts which gave me mixed feelings, but it was nice to pick some people's minds through the comment sections.

Anyhow, moving on...

Leo Power (LP)

I believe small growth matters so I added some to my LP. Just 31 but yeah, it still moved the numbers from last week's.

Current: 20,969 (14,638 + 6,331)
Week 35: 20,938 LP (14,638 + 6,300)

I also made some HP delegation in return for some rewards in the form of daily staked LEO which will start dripping (I think) 7 days after the delegation was sent. They will surely add to my LP. We shall see how it goes through the new week.

HBD Savings

This recorded a small addition of 12 in the last 7 days. I finally have something in mind where to use it someday so I'm now keen to continue building it slowly.

Current: 1,272
Week 35: 1,260

By the way, did you know converting HBD to HIVE is not ideal? I read that doing so adds more to the HIVE inflation so it's better to trade (buy and sell) them on the internal market. Conversions create more HIVE therefore increasing its supply. Stats on this post.

Well, that's about it for today. Monsoon rains still hammer our yard but things are generally good. We are alive and kicking and I'm super grateful as always. I hope everything is going well for everyone too. Here's to wishing us all a fantastic weekend!

It's a bit funny that some of the things I did easily in my younger years are kind of hard this time :) It feels like I'm growing backward in some aspects in life, hehe

I've been a fan of quick conversation of HBD to HIVE without passing through the Buy and Sell method.

We do. And yes, it's best to trade HBD and not use the convert method as you are creating more HIVE in the process :)
