A Joyful Children's Service Celebration

Hello everyone
Permit me to share with you how my day went.
If you grew up in Africa you would relate better, because we all have this experience growing up.

Today we had our children day's service which was held in my church, it was a service for to entertain and teach children present in our congregation. It was full of joyful moments including singing, dancing and of course it was are precious time in which we learned and strengthened our faith side by side.

Only one of the many activities that impressed me was the children’s presentation of their memory verse from the Holy Scripture. I always had a great feeling when I see children of young age showcasing their abilities to recite the speeches that they practiced day in day out. This was an important message from the passage that even those with low recognition factor among people could still love and learn the word of God.

The children also sung several songs and danced which they prepared for weeks for the special Sunday service. It was simply impossible not to dance and sing and sing along with them since they enjoyed the dances and sang wholeheartedly. This was a beautiful moment of worship that was full of praises that gave everyone a glowing smile on their faces.

The children was also able to enjoy songs and dances as well as fun games that was in line with teaching from the Bible. One of the games ‘Draw Your Sword’, informed the children to encourage them to memorize Bible verses and recite them. It was fun and an excellent method to check their biblical knowledge and literacy in a creative and fun approach.

One of the games that were played was the “Chair Dance” in which the children had to dance around chairs to the tune of a merry song. It was just in an attempt to make them create movements and even laugh while at the same time making them understand how much joy and celebrations are key in the faith system we hold.

Blow Your Balloon and Burst’ is that one of the games wherein children were to blow the balloons and burst them in the shortest time possible. It was a comic exercise which portrayed freedom and we handed over all our concerns and anxieties to Him.

This was how my day went and I did have fun.
