Roman fortress Novae in Bulgaria
Habe noch eine römische Ausgrabung im Norden Bulgariens besichtigt. Novae befindet sich circa 4km von der Donau-Stadt Svischtov entfernt und war eine römische Festung, um das Römische Reich gegen die germanische Barbaren zu verteidigen, als die Donau die natürliche Grenze des Römischen / Byzantinischen Reichs markierte.

I visited another Roman excavation in northern Bulgaria. Novae is located about 4km from the Danube city of Svishtov and was a Roman fortress to defend the Roman Empire against the Germanic barbarians as the Danube was the natural border of the Roman/Byzantine Empire.
