The Relevance Of Proper Timing

The Relevance Of Proper Timing

"It's nice to see you again brother", Abraham reiterated as he sat on the couch after hugging me. "I know I have been a very bad friend, since you left for school I have not been calling". I replied. "Not just that, he has not also been coming to check on me, his mom replied from her room". Gosh! I felt bad about my uncaring attitude but then that is me for you.

"What's the secret behind those beards, what have you been rubbing? mine is refusing to grow", I teasingly asked him. He laughed at my question and said" It's mature." Abraham is a hairy guy but It never occurred to me that his beard had grown to that extent. He now looks more mature, responsible, calm and reserved. I almost prayed for beards after seeing him. it's seems it adds respect to people. Hehe.

Indeed time changes things, back then my Friend was just a small boy but now he's a man. Another special thing I noticed about him was his inward maturity. We spoke at length about old times as usual then he asked" How is life with you?"Most of us are familiar with that question. It looks simple but that's one of the questions I hate to respond to in life. I told him "Fine" After some minutes, he looked upon my face and laughed, he knew all was not well.

I asked him the same question and he responded" Fine," also. Each time I and my friends reached this point in our conversation, you should expect the next conversation to be something positive. Abraham is a guy who doesn't joke with his financial life. I knew home with that habit right from high school. "What is your current source of income" he asked, teaching, but I am planning to quit anytime soon", I replied

He laughed at me and said "There is time for everything," he made me understand that in life there are different seasons. Some of which may be palatable and some bitter. "What will you be doing if you should quit the job?" he added. "Nothing brother, I would take my time and get another one subsequently, I am just killing myself with that work. Look how most of our Peers are living a good life but I am here suffering." I expressed my grievance.

"You don't really know what they went through to get to where they are today, the fact that you see them enjoying now doesn't mean there was no time in their lives when they labored. It's all about process. " He replied. I may not be able to quote him word for word but after saying all those things, I started seeing life from a new perspective.

I was so surprised when he told me about the kind of investment he has, he told me that he achieved all that through discipline, there were days he had to shut himself away from people and social media just to concentrate on foreign exchange trade (FX trade)

I left his house that evening motivated. Time is valuable, when we use the right time for the wrong things, we should be rest assured that we will never get good results. I adjusted and began to take seriously every important thing in my life. Prior to that time, I had a digital skill I was learning but because of laziness and improper time management, I could not practice well. Those days I spend more of my time chatting on Facebook and WhatsApp.

I regained my sense after that conversation and I took that course seriously and now I am about to even start doing practicals. I wish I had been sensitized about the relevance of timing long ago. As the saying goes, there's time for everything, when we dare use the time for making money to have fun, our pockets will eventually run dry.

It's a blessing to have friends like these. People that can motivate you to do better even when you're feeling down. Something important to remember is the fact that every one is running a different race so it's not accurate to measure how far you have gone by comparing it to another person's
People's journeys are only meant to serve as motivation and not competition.

Well done! Nice story

That's right. There is time for everything. If we don't prioritize our time , we mismanage it.

Only when we have matured do we appreciate the value of time. When we are children, we have plenty of time, but as we grow up, we realize that time is an element of non-transferable and finite value, so we must take advantage of every moment. Greetings

You have said it all, it's only kids that have the luxury of time but as an adult, each second wasted costs something.

Thank you so much for stopping by😁

There really are good friends who shine a light in moments when our life deviates from the right path. A few wise words help us a lot in dark situations.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Good day.

Learning to prioritise time is a lesson well learned. It seems that you acquire the skill to conceptualise your activities into a manageable portfolio.
