Dreams don't die but sometimes you have to change part

It is the dream of every child to grow and become something in the future, and a child growing up in Delta State, Nigeria. I always had the dream of attending the Federal University of Technology Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria. So each time we traveled to youth conferences at the Apostle Ayo Babalola Camp in Osun State, we would pass through the gate, and I would tell my mom, This is the school I want to attend.

I completed my primary school education and then secondary school, but somehow results from the West African Examination Council (WAEC) had an issue in mathematics. I had to try again and again for 4 consecutive times before I got my mathematics, but I kept pushing.

Then I got my breakthrough, and then I enrolled for JAMB and filled in my dream school as my choice. I tried for about three years but didn't get the admission.

I started getting some advice from people around to try some other schools, which I wasn't ready to, but after my last try at the Federal University of Technology Akure, I decided to try something else, but I still had the dream of schooling in the southwest.

So one of my aunties advised me to pick the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta in Ogun State, which I did, and the first attempt was a total flop. At this point, I decided I wouldn't even give school another shot.

But my parents believe in my dreams of schooling and getting a degree, and they're ready to support me all the way, so I got a form and did an A-level program, after which I tried again at the same school to no avail, but this time, because I paid attention to some details, I was able to know the things to do in order to get an admission.

And on my next trial, I applied for both direct entry and the normal JAMB entry, and to my greatest surprise, I got both admissions to the same school, and this time I was the one who became picky with the administration I wanted to go through with, and today I am a graduate of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. And although my dream of attending FUTA didn't come through, I still schooled in the southwest, equally attending a prestigious federal university.

During my schooling days, my school was once named as the best university in West Africa, and my schooling here gave me the privilege of meeting my friend who introduced me to Hive, and I also got an opportunity to attend a soilless farming training through which I gained practical knowledge on vegetable farming.

This is just a reminder that every dream we have as individuals is valid and attainable because if you reach for the sky and miss, you can't miss the stars.

Thank you for stopping by my blog.

I was happy gaining admission after two tries too and it was a dream come through for me. Congratulations on your success and finding Hive.
