Reciprocity: Seeds Of Kindness
It was a hot afternoon. I had just given my friend, Daniel the exact amount he asked of me.
“No need to pay back.” I said when he asked when he should repay the debt.
He was silent for a few moments then he said “Thank you.” and we parted ways.
My friend Daniel is a businessman whose business is thriving but at certain times he came to me for financial help. From what he once old me he has to support himself and his family from his earnings and it wasn't an easy burden to bear. So during his moments of financial droughts I was all too happy to help.
Daniel is one of the most friendly and nicest people I've ever met. We are close friends. At certain points in time when financial constraints were upon me he also stepped up to help, like I did for him.
There was a time my smartphone got spoilt and I couldn't find the spare parts anywhere in my country. I think that time I also gave an money importer to look for it overseas but it wasn't found. During this time, Daniel lent me his second smartphone to use for the time being. I later purchased the phone from him and he was patient enough till I completed the payment. Turns out the good deeds I had done him days gone past were coming back at me.
Well, that's me. I rarely ever ask for a repayment when I lend my friends money, not to talk of family members. I remember I did same with my friend, Chinedu.
“There are some promising crypto projects I want us to invest in.” He said to me at one time.
We both were into cryptocurrency. We agreed to pool our resources together to invest in the crypto projects.
“Send me you Binance Smart Chain address and I will send my part of the money.” I said to Chinedu.
When he sent the address I sent my part of the money and also sent more to make up for his own money that wasn't complete. And I told him not to pay back.
Some of the projects did well and some didn't. My good deeds to my friend Chinedu came back to me when we needed to make other financial market investments, my part of the monetary contribution wasn't complete but he made it up from his.
“It's nothing like what you used to do for me.” He said when I tried to protest.
One of my main philosophies in life is that the actions we do to others are seeds we sow and they are bound to grow and mature and bring forth results, pleasant or not. If you treat people nicely and with respect and compassion, they are bound to repay it. If you treat them bad they are also bound to repay it. I believe its called the Law Of Reciprocity in psychology.
My parents once complained that was a bad way to live financially. They said I should try to keep as much to myself and not give it away to others. This was a time I had earned a considerable fortune from blogging online, several year ago.
I believe we all will come to a time in our lives when we will need the help of others. And it's mostly those that we helped in the past that come to our aid in those moments. Those we neglected are wont to ignore us. Thus I have lived and still live and my little acts of kindness to people come back at me.

Very beautiful the topic you have discussed. Mutual help is an invisible thread that unites the hearts of human beings. Some small gestures make life more human and more beautiful. Over time these small gestures turn into strong friendships !BEER
