Last weekend's braai - Nicolaas arrives from Orania

There is nothing better than to light up a braai and celebrate a reunion! I have known Nicolaas for around 14 years! He's come to visit me for the holiday season and will return home in January

With his arrival, it was time to have ourselves a little braai to celebrate! So I lit up a fire with my favorite Rooikrans wood and dished out the snacks.

@clairemobey joined us of course and we chatted. The kids rolled through looking for stuff to chow, which is why there are so many bags of crisps.

I did not take any pictures of the meat that I braaid unfortunately. But it was quite a feast! Pork chops, Boerewors (sausage), chicken and garlic bread was all given their turn on the braai.

Inside the granny came over and I set up the Christmas tree and the granny and kids decorated the tree!

All in all, this was a pleasant experience and I will cherish this memory.
