Weekend engagement week 261# Where would you be right now (personally or professionally) if you had followed your dreams???
Where would you be right now ( personally or professionally) if you had followed your dreams?
This got me thinking, we in one way or the order never have all we wished for,many dreams never come to reality. I guess I would have been better if I had followed some of my dreams.now let us go deeper.
Professionally, I dreamed of becoming Journalist ( woman of the press) I love the profession so much, to the extent that while growing up I love watching news and live broadcast on TV I enjoyed this so much.
I began reading a lot of books grooming myself for the life ahead, I love it when I see the likes of Morayo Afolabi_Brown, Nifemi oguntaye, Veronica Dan Ikpoyi, Mike Okwoche of TVC News and Emmanuel Okundu of NTA. But today iam neither a journalist nor a person of the press in any way. This is what happened I was misguided, misinformed I lack proper guidance and mentorship, I was so timide and reserved, so iam not what I dreamed of, though not totally off the line but I wished I am doing journalism, I would have been a great TV or Radio person by now.
IN CONCLUSION, though I can still be a journalist but I would prefer to stay where I am to groom myself and grow in foreign language (French)to become the best translator and Interpretation.This teaches me to open up and discuss relevant issues to relevant persons because this will go a long way to help in fulfilling our dreams aspirations.

It's sad to read that your dream didn't work out for you due to outside influences. I hope that you can spin things around and maybe fulfill part of your dream - it's not the same, but maybe writing on HIVE is something.
