πΎπ₯πΉπΆππΊLetting our Hair Down and giving Nicholaas a taste of the Big City Night Life! πΎπ₯πΉπΆππΊ
I swear, I don't know what happened. One minute I was a young single mum, going out on the town when Matt was with his dad, and then I blinked and 4 years passed! I have not stepped foot in a bar or club since before Covid and, man oh man, has age caught up with me π€£π€£ in fact, I'm still paying for our New Year's frivolity today with a very grumpy tummy.
We did, however, have the time of our lives, dancing our booties off (which I should NOT be doing with my knee -especially after all the Christmas cooking- and hence all the ibuprofen and a grumpy tummy) but it was SO worth it.
Knowing the barman, the owner, and the karaoke DJ personally meant we got special VIP treatment and Nicholaas got to try tequila for the 1st time!
And second and third... And so on...
There's no such thing as one, you know!
I made it till an impressive 1h30am (considering I wanted to die at pm) and the boys were home around 3.
What a spectacular end to the year, and a lovely way to celebrate yet another year of love between myself and @zakludick.
I think my poor body definitely needs a whole year to recover before the next one! Teehee!
It's hard to believe how quickly the holidays have passed and that Nicholaas will be leaving tomorrow.
In two weeks, Matthew will be in grade 5, Meren in his new high school for Grade 8, and Aime entering senior high in Grade 10!
It's insane. They really do grow too fast.
I'm glad us adults took some time to spend together... although I do hope @zakludick and I get to escape to a little peaceful countryside holiday, just the two of us, sometime this year.
Hahahaham this is the kind of experience we need to see more often here on this community! Love the tale on the post and, of course, the pics as well... You guys seems to have an amazing night out!
Aaaah thank you! We did! I'm still paying for it π€’π€’π΅βπ«π΅βπ«π₯΄π₯΄

Happy New Year @clairemobey, it's good to let the hair down at times! They say age is but a number, but when you see the kids become adults, and the body can't keep up the pace, then you realize just how quickly time runs away with us. Glad you had such a fabulous time!
It's all about that brace about that brace no wobble... All about that brace ππππππ
