36 Modern Home Styles - Midjourney Version
Midjourney released version 6 just before Christmas. I've played with it some and would love to be using it on my Reflective Echoes project but it doesn't have the outpainting feature yet so I can do two versions of my images.
The prompting is a bit different now as It will interpret the prompts differently than version 5.2. That makes for a bit of a learning curve. So far I've like most of the results but sometimes v5.2 edges it out.
Version 6 is introducing text ability for the first time in Midjourney. Short text in quotes works best at this point. They will be working on continued improvements on version 6 and hope to release it as the default version by the end of January.
They are also releasing a web interface that I have access to as I'm in the 10k image club but I have zero interest in using a web interface when I can work in Discord in my own server.
Today I decided to play with a single prompt and some of the many style options I've amassed a list of. Generative art uses traditional art styles and also will turn some phrases into styles which makes some interesting results on images.
The prompt is:
modern family home (style)
The image in the header was "modern family home, original lego" and of course I added an aspect ratio. The rest of the images I'm sharing today will be the default 1:1 ratio.

Using styles can be a lot of fun. They can be mixed and matched. We never really know what the results will be. I used about 100 styles and then selected the results I liked the best.
I will often try multiple styles and combinations before deciding on a final image. I didn't on this group or I'd be a week getting this post ready.
I'm curious to see how version 6 ends up functioning. Remember, let your imagination out to play with styles.

These are fantastic. The lego house that opened I would have thought was an actual photo of a lego house. The tentaclefunk made me laugh!
the tentaclepunk style was what sparked me to play with some of my styles. I have a fairly long list.
It surprises me what it does with some things like the lego ... @bluefinstudios I hear is a fan of lego .. so was thinking about him when I used it
I laughed out loud. Hilarious architecture!!
I heard, another beautiful job hosting Creative Work Hour, Kara. Thank you for bringing your talent.
@bitterirony was super happy to make it back from dropping me off at the airport in time to check out with the crew.
Wow, so many styles that I can't decide on a favorite. I do like some of the modern ones but the 1940's bungalow took me back to my childhood home.
it's pretty cool how it picks up the aesthetics from different eras.
@shadowspub you gotta convert this post into a wee book. This is exactly the kind of thing that I see in design, art, and architecture exhibits. And it's just so darn CUTE!!
I see play is a driver in your work. I love creating alongside you. You are my rock. Much love!! 🥰
interesting idea on the book end. I'll add it to my list cause I can't get distracted from the current construction work and yes.. my play.

How did gravity falls style even come up?😂😂😂
These are all amazing Shadows🔥
one of the cool things about generative art... is the wide range of styles that would not otherwise be styles.
