Reaching 5000 HP goal on #HivePowerUpDay

Would you believe it's already September!! Dang, time really flies. Soon 2023 will be over.

It is time for another power-up day. Another month is gone and it feels like we just started the year. Anyways, here is what the PowerUP process is...as explained by the all-knowing thekittygirl kittypedia.

The PowerUp process is when we take liquid assets (HIVE, in this case) and stake them on-chain. In very simplistic terms, it's akin to buying stock, proving that you believe in the future of the chain. In return for the stake, those who PowerUp have a greater vote value when they upvote posts (which, in turn, earn greater Curation Rewards), have more Resource Credits (RC) with which to transact with the blockchain and earn 'dividends' of HP awarded periodically over time.


August was one of the best months for me where I posted almost every day. I still had 3 days where I didn't post but it was a massive improvement from July. Also, my engagement on both the blockchain and Discord has seen some progress.

My posts did well and one of my recent posts got the Hivebuzz trophy for "Most Voted Post of the Day". I didn't think I would get this trophy but I did it. It took me almost 2 years though but better late than never...eh?

I love September as the weather starts to cool off a little and I happen to have my birthday this month too. So, I have high hopes for this month.

Let's talk about what we are here for, I powered up 50 HIVE earlier today but when I saw the UTC time it was still half an hour left for the day to be over so I had to do another power-up. I was so close to getting to 5000 that I sold my HBD and got HIVE from the internal market, swapped my HIVE.SWAP for HIVE from my H-E wallet. I needed less than 75 HIVE.



And guess what? I just had enough liquid HIVE. I powered up 75 HIVE after making sure it was the 1st of September in UTC time...lol




Reaching 5K HP milestone

I now have 5K HP. Almost all of this is from Post Payout alone. Now this is a milestone to be proud of! 😍



This was the HP goal I set up for this year, I had to ditch my HBD savings to achieve that so early. Now I can focus on my HBD goal too. I have been setting my post payout to 100% HP for so long and you can see the results by just doing that.

I thought it would take me 5 years to reach here but the dipping Hive Price and setting 100% HP payout option made me achieve this in under 2 years. I want to thank so many friends who helped me in this journey but it would take me a few hours even if I remember all of them.

5000 HP is great, man. 600 HP in a month is pretty good. That's what I was aiming for. I don't know if I reached my goal or not because I haven't made my post yet. We'll see soon :P I enjoy reading your posts, I hope you can continue like this, man! Congratulations and see you when you become a Dolphin.

This was the best month for me and I just powered up everything I had liquid to cross the 5K mark. That is a big number for me. Never thought it would take me under 2 years but it was because of friends like you who supported me continuously in this journey.

I been doing 100% power-up since February I guess, but at first, I was doing all posts 100% power-up but then I shifted to doing 4 out of 5 or something. Just so I have some HBD too.

So, I ditched my HBD goals to get the HP goals this early...I think it was worth it, especially in a bear market like this.

Anyways, thanks for being a good part of this fantastic journey. Loved your energy from day 1. 😘
