Boring is Good .:. WorkerBee PH-Pool Week 126

As you probably already know, I took a vacation last week and I will try to spend as much as possible away from the computer... As you can see, I'm failing to do that... 😃 Just kidding... I know that this pool is important for many of you and I didn't miss any payout for these two years that I'm running it... I plan to keep it like that! So, on my vacation, I will continue doing these regularly...

On the other side, I try to spend as much possible time with my friends and family! I have a couple of good, old, childhood friends and we get together every summer doing different types of things from drinking in bars, playing pool, fishing, but also brainstorming about some ideas...

For example, yesterday we were talking about our jobs and different aspects of it... I was in a bar with my two friends, who are both programmers, and one of them got fired as the company shut down the business... That was a great topic for conversation... He doesn't know why they closed the business (he just worked there), but there were some clues...

The company was run by two 25-30 years old guys, full of energy, ideas, and capital... That part is good as you want to have young people, hungry for success to lead as they can move (and adapt) faster than old(er) guys...

But, on the other side, they don't have "STAMINA" and the experience of people who are longer in the business... Those guys (oldies) know the importance of boring, dull jobs and tasks... Yes, those jobs take some time, but they are usually routine tasks and you don't need a lot of thinking to realize them... They will not bring you millions, but you will have a steady income as they are usually less risky and last longer...

So, the possible scenario for my friend's company was that they were chasing big jobs, that can bring more money, that are more challenging... Unfortunately, they took most of their time, and in the end, those projects quit before the end of the works, leaving the company without funds, without those "boring jobs" that were rejected during the time of chasing big ones... Again, diversification was one of the main points of the story... A few boring jobs + 2-3 big projects are the recipe for success and longevity...

I would classify our WORKERBEE pool as one of those "boring" jobs that don't take a lot of time for maintenance, but it brings weekly income regularly...

Back to the exact report numbers!

Last week, we didn't lose or get new delegators, but we got some new delegations from old members, too! Thanks for that!

In the last 7 days, we mined 124 BEE tokens in total!!!

This POOL doesn't have fees and you get up to 20% MORE by delegating to it!

What about the bonus tokens?
Today's bonus token is AWESOME... One of the good (and bad) sides of the AWESOME token is that it has low liquidity... That is good because with just a simple use case, it has a very low possibility to go to zero and it's easier to maintain its value... On the other side, because of low liquidity, it is hard to buy (and sell) bigger amounts of the tokens... In our case, I will distribute only 1 token, which is around 14 HIVE, so not a big deal regarding future selling or holding tokens... Another big, positive side of the AWESOME token is that it hasn't dropped in value when 90% of other tokens did...

There will be distributed 1 AWESOME token to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!

As always, in the end, let's give the exact numbers for this week... There will be distributed 124 BEE tokens and 1 AWESOME token as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 6.824%, and when we added the bonus it went up to 8.680%!

I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens at the moment of creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the middle HiveEngine price...

You are right about that, but you can limit yourself to a certain level... :) At least, I'm trying to do that... Instead of spending 12 hours per day on HIVE, I spend 3... 😃

slowly realizing boring is actually what makes the most steady income but sometimes it's just too tedious and mundane. Have to say, balance is key too. A side challenging hustle + boring job :D

I tried to ditch my hosting business 10 years ago, and I didn't do it... It is still bringing some monthly income with very little time needed for maintenance... In the meantime, I started (and finished) a lot of other projects... :)

Yeah, it looks like everything comes back to diversification... But, also, we have to have limits in it and not over-diversify things as we can lose the focus... 2-3 tasks, 5-8 tokens, etc... :)

You are welcome! Yeah, crypto is a rollercoaster, but we have some of the "stablecoin-ish" tokens that could bring some income... and they are boring, but still, give some profits... HIVE curation, HBD savings, etc... :)

I think boring is good. It means that nothing has really changed and that is good for the market/work. Rather than having to deal with the stress of things changing, I just prefer the boring route.
