How much buying does leodex need to provide to move the needle?

If Leo were to give up on social completely, I'd be really sad about it and lose a place that has come to feel like home on the internet. I wouldn't feel too worried about my investment though because leodex seems to be kicking ass on multiple fronts.

I guess Khal's thinking is that if they can build a space for themselves in defi, they'll be able to fund the development of the social platform without any support from the DHF.
I think this is a s smart strategy, I just hope he doesn't change the plan too quickly if things don't go as planned right away

I see this two sided approach of defi and social as ultra powerful in this space. Either one would be worth something, together, they are unstoppable if they keep being developed.
I remember this social platform named Torum which I was using few years ago. They had a Facebook like platform which was pretty good & defi side to it. They screwed the defi side and people lost interest. Need to be careful with these.

I'm not a Defi guy but Khal and the Leo team seem positioned to add a lot of value to the space.
Social and Defi are the Yin and Yang of Leo. They compliment each other very well, perhaps better than anywhere else in crypto.
That's true. Still, I'd keep the focus on the social side. The competition on the DEX side is fierce and even though LeoDex is a great product, it's not revolutionary in a way that I could see it competing with the giants
Personally I want to see development on the social side, but I think Khal's interest in defi and his relationship with a few of these projects make it a smart move to focus on defi until it becomes a steady income stream for them. They don’t need to be the biggest, just build a strong niche for themselves.
The ability to self fund (along with the vision) is my main reason for using INLEO over ecency and peakd which I think are both great projects.
While I'm disappointed that a small handful of whales seem to be picking favorites and gatekeeping for the DHF, I kind of agree that none projects should receive funding after 2 years unless its completely essential to the survival of the chain. The DHF should exist as a launchpad, not welfare for front ends.
Well said and you are absolutely right about not needed to be the biggest, DEXs can be a great revenue stream and I do hope the gains start to flow into developing Inleo. The team obviously needs to get paid as well. Hell, they deserve it!
Problem with the social side is that we are still to small to generate any revenue.
LeoDex has given the project massive revenue in comparison.
That's true, need to see that revenue flow into developing Inleo. The very delicate thing about these social platforms is that you can't afford to lose momentum.
If Inleo is lost, the DEX will be lost in space.
It will, when the time is right. I totally understand that they now need to focus on LeoDex with all the momentum going on there.
I believe, it's gonna be a cycle. From there to here and from here to there. THis social front will help do the marketing for LeoDex.

How is your experience using Grok? I don't want yto beging the free trial, as most of the time I get charged before I cancel the service... But if service is good i could cancel my actual service with Codeway, an LLM I just realise is like an intermediary to get access to different AI services, so I assume tehre is a difference to use directly Grok from the access via an Intermediary (which give me access to GPT and Gemini and Claude).
I use Grok daily and I am happy with it. I just use the free version :)
