The topic will be:
Can we trust the bible and what it contains?
Follow along as I do a verse by verse study of Scripture on this topic.
First, I'll start with a quick word of prayer...
Heavenly Father, I pray that this new bible study will help people learn about You and Your glory. I pray that we discover Your truth found in scripture and we can learn as a community. In Jesus' name, Amen!
What does the bible say about itself?
If we turn to 2 Timothy 3:15-16 we get our answer:
All scripture is given by the inspiration of God.
But wait....It was written by everyday men wasn't it? Men wrote the bible...
Let's flip to 2 Peter 1:19-21 to see what scripture says regarding this claim:
Lots to unpack there. In verse 19 I see something that hits home...A SURE word of prophecy, meaning this is something we can believe. But the claim about 'men writing the bible' is true but...the 'but' is found in verse 21...
The holy men of God spake (or wrote) as they were moved (or inspired) by the Holy Ghost.
So yes, men wrote the bible but God was leading their pens.
Side note....
While not in the bible let's look at the history of it. The bible should have never been here if you look at the history of it. It survived being burned, discarded, tore up throughout the centuries, but it's still here today...
After everything it's gone through, this is why you should seriously look into the history of it all and how it came to be. It's truly a supernatural book and has survived for thousands of years.
O.K., so what does reading the bible do for me?
Turn to Psalms 119 and we'll go through a few verses to find the next few answers. First up, verse 11.
The world has a HUGE sin problem. It's a pretty big deal. So keeping our minds fixed on scripture helps us to stay away from sin.
Staying in Psalms 119 and flipping to verse 105, we see how God's Word lights a path for us to follow. The straight and narrow path!
You may say to yourself...I have sinned too much, there is nothing that can right my wrongs. Thankfully, the bible gives us assurance in the same chapter but verse number 9:
Here's a verse that really hits home for me...And speaking from personal experience, the bible truly does change lives. It convicts you and makes you see the errors in your ways.
You start to give up 'self' and live for God. Which is perfectly explained in Hebrews 4:12
As followers of Christ, it should be interesting what Jesus said about the bible and how important it was for His followers to stay focused on it...
John 17:17 is one of my favorite verses in the entire bible, because once you understand the power and truth found in the bible, there is no turning back
Going back to the point that we saw earlier, how could the bible survive the history it has?
How? Because Christ said the bible would last forever...

Sometimes you may hear, that the old testament was done away with, and we shouldn't read it...That's a weird angle to take, remember that Christ and His disciples never had 'the new testament' they were living it :)
Read Romans 15:4 for why it's important to study the WHOLE bible.
That's a good start I think, there are other verses that helped me really begin to trust the bible. And while it's not the most popular thing to talk about and discuss in 2025, I hope this has stirred some potential for conversations and discussions about God's word!

How important is God's word? Turn to Genesis 3 and watch how the serpent changes God's word and instructions. As a result, Adam and Eve fell to sin and our race has been fallen ever since...
Verse 4: And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
Verse 5: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Now fast forward to Revelation 22....And see how God bookends the bible with the promise of His Word. And how important it is, that we stay focused on scripture and what is truth.
Verse 18: For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Verse 19: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Why do I personally stay focused on scripture?
Philippians 4:8 for the answer...
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
More emphasis on how truly remarkable it is, that the bible has stood the test of time...Big verses shows us how indestructible God's word truly is.
Psalms 12:6,7
Verse 6: The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Verse 7: Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
Concern exists about the next five to six years, when misuse by bad actors could inflict harm.
However, looking fifty years ahead, breakthroughs worth trillions are likely to render today’s fears insignificant and pave the way for widespread abundance.

Kucoin Options are tricky or I don't understand Put and Call. It is supposed when price is down a Put takes value, when price is up a Call takes value. I took a Put and a Call for ETH what happens booth are in Red, the Call is Strike 1800, and yesterday is was over 1800 and the Call was still in red.
