Splinterlands Weekly Challenge Battle BATTLE MAGE SECRETS! Weak Magic
Every week there is a Splinterlands challenge to share a rule set using a ruleset and on this week's post it is a battle with the Weak Magic rule set. I also encourage Splinterlands players to partake in the challenge because you get to try different strategies and earn some crypto in the process. It's a bit unfortunate but I wasn't able to get a match on my own account with that ruleset from my fights yesterday or my 30 fights today. So I decided to just use one of the top battles out there. With rebellion out, I am interested in seeing how people combine it into their lineup.
Round 1
At the first glance on this battle, I think the Lux team has a stronger lineup because of the inspire and melee lineup. The only downside is that the last monster on the Lux side can't attack and there are no sneak monsters. As for the ranger team, it's a team focused on trying to outdamage the opponent and it's a bit more defensive. The focus for his team on speed but I am not sure if that will do much against the opponent's fast cards. I think that the rebellion card with taunt and shield is quite powerful.
Round 2
Both sides lost a card but the Lux side got the short end of the stick in that round. The retaliate destroyed that strong new rebellion tank card. At this point, I think the Lux team still has an advantage due to the sneak monsters but anything could happen because that enraged Drybone Barbarian is quite tough.
Round 3
The Lux team is quite unlucky as that Drybone Barbarian retaliated quite often and a lot of extra damage happened to his team. At this point, I think it's a even match and it depends on just who can land more attacks first.
Round 4
The Lux team missed quite a few attacks and it's going to be tough for the Lux team to win if that weaken lands.
I decided to skip to the end because it was all about whether or not Arkemis would die. It did end up buying at the end but it also gave the win to the team focusing on range and speed.
Conclusion
The battle this time was quite interesting. I thought that the combination of the rebellion card with taunt and shield would give the Lux team a nice win. However, that wasn't enough because of the Drybone Barbarian retaliated and the fast cards were able to wipe out enough cards every round. The ranger and speed team won barely and I didn't think that would happen when I first looked at the match. Arkemis was quite amazing during this match as it clutched the win for it's team with that weaken ability. Otherwise, it would have died before the thorns monster up last in the Lux side would have managed to wipe out all the units that could attack left.
You can see my entire match here.
What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players play in a ruleset.

The choice of card is good as you have not taken any magic which is good as per the ruleset.. Card lineup is nice as well.
It wasn't one of my fights but one of the top fights. I ended up not using this post in the weekly challenge because the rules said it needed my own fight.
