letting your warmth be your personality

Being friendly doesn’t have to mean being a pushover and being careful doesn’t have to mean being cold, it’s about letting your warmth be your personality, but letting your boundaries be your policy and It’s about offering your smile freely, but being more selective with who you offer your secrets to It’s about understanding that your kindness is a gift, and it’s perfectly okay to not give it to everyone who crosses your path.

This careful friendliness isn’t about building walls but It’s about installing a good front door one that you can open wide to welcome in the right people but that you can also lock to keep the elements out It allows you to preserve your energy for the connections that truly matter for the people who have shown they deserve a key.

So these days I’m trying to embrace the balance I’m aiming to be the person who leads with kindness who assumes the best until proven otherwise But I’m also learning to pay closer attention to listen to my gut when something feels off, and to understand that protecting my peace is not an act of hostility it’s an act of self respect.

You can be a warm person and a smart person you can have a soft heart and strong boundaries In fact, maybe that’s the only way the soft heart survives.
