HPUD Streak & Savings
I was in the mood for some chores, so I started the laundry around half past eight. With three loads (not that many, but I had to sort them by colors), I was done an hour later, and had them on hangers by the clothesline out in the yard. I don't do machine drying. I just gave them a normal spin and let them dry naturally. After all, the sunshine was plenty today.
While snacking on some chocolate marshmallows, I remembered it's the first of the new month.
Oh, Hello, July!
That reminded me it's someone's (two of them) birth month. And being the first, it's Canada Day, (not that I'm in the land). I just read it in passing, lol!
And here on chain, it's HPUD, so off to Keychain and staked all liquid HIVE in my wallet.
No HPUD missed since January of 2022 'till date. 43 months streak. That felt good! From less than 300 Hive Power then to 26k+ today. That's certainly some achievement, at least to me.
It was nice to have made that decision to grow my stakes on chain, and keeping it through the years. And aha! I was quite chuffed to read back my very first HPUD post😁
Some nostalgia!
Good. Good! Okay, but how about this year's progress so far? 26350 HP on January 1st to 26494 today. Only 144 HP increase in six months? Was that it?
Nah.
I had this account's very first power down for 3k in mid-January. It took me about half the year to build it back to where it was, and even added a bit more to it (3144 HP in total). Initially, I felt guilty taking out some of my stake, but realized it's not a mortal sin to do so, or is it? Pardon me, I just have to put the screenshot here for my memento of the action😊
Anyways, since I'm taking account of my staked HIVE (HP), I might as well include my savings progress. With 1077 at the start of this year, it has grown to 1697 HBD, which means an addition of 620 during the first half of 2025.
While the increase is not giving me full confidence that I would catch up and be on track with my target, I'm thankful it's still growing. And we have half the year to add more to it. All should be good, although nothing is certain, hence we shall make adjustments where necessary, as we continue to make memories and enjoy our blockchain adventure.
And so, here's to the next six months and beyond!
