"Verkauf dein Haus – und kauf Bitcoin”ist die Aussage sinnvoll?/ "Sell your house – and buy Bitcoin" does the statement make sense?

Bitcoin hingegen sei global, transportabel, leicht handelbar.

Renovierungsbedürftige Einfamilienhäuser kosten in meiner Region gerademal 50.000€.

Ricardo Salinas, one of Mexico's richest men, sees Bitcoin as a superior investment to real estate.

In an interview, the man, who holds a large portion of his wealth in BTC, therefore recommends: "You have a house? Sell it – and buy Bitcoin."

In Bitcoin terms, real estate prices have fallen by 99 percent over the past ten years. An average house currently costs around four BTC.

While owning a home as a primary residence can make sense, he says it's inefficient as a pure investment – especially given ongoing costs such as property taxes, maintenance, and illiquid markets.

Bitcoin, on the other hand, is global, portable, and easily tradable.

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao comments on the developments surrounding US mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which will consider Bitcoin in their lending processes in the future.

Since the housing bubble burst in 2007, the two organizations, as government-backed financial institutions, have ensured liquidity and stability in the US real estate market by purchasing, bundling, and reselling mortgages as securities.

"0.1 Bitcoin will be worth more than a house"

"The current American dream is to own a house," Zhao says. He continues: "The American dream of the future will be to own 0.1 BTC. That will be worth more than a house in the US."

At the time of writing, the average price of a house in the US is approximately $412,500 to $430,000. However, prices vary greatly by region and city.

I quoted from the following articles...

My personal conclusion:

My personal opinion is completely different. You don't need your own money to buy a house; you can borrow it. With a home loan, even inflation is your friend. This makes your loan cheaper every year, but only if your employer regularly increases your salary.

I would personally recommend refinancing your home loan with a basket of various cryptocurrencies rather than a home savings contract.

My goal is to exchange my cryptocurrency for 1.75 hectares of farmland at the end of this year. If Bitcoin and other currencies rise sharply by the end of this year, this investment would become increasingly affordable for me. 😇

Single-family homes in need of renovation in my area cost just €50,000.

Well, it sounds like a prudent investment advice. But it seems BTC won't ever reach $1m until several countries build a BTC reserve and that might happen anytime.

don't agree with that idea of selling my house and buying Bitcoin so at least I wouldn't have several properties there, so I would be a little more in favor, although the main idea for me would be to invest in Hive and continue generating much more.

First of all, Michael Saylor said that years ago ... with good reason given that he has some bags to pump. Second, Ricardo Salinas is making this advice on a cycle time parallel to Michael Saylor saying it in 2021: when whales want to sell at the top of the market to newbies who know no better. I hate this kind of talk, because I see it for the manipulation it is by people who don't need any more money and don't care about the lives connected to the houses in question -- the families that will be ruined if people are this gullible because Bitcoin's cycle drops are two years long -- so you sell your house to buy Bitcoin and your investment drops 70 percent in the next year and you don't have a clue what to do next because these same people never educate ... but will pick up your Bitcoin cheap when you despair. I hate this type of thing, so much.

Exchanging your home for bitcoin is far too risky. But refinancing your mortgage with bitcoin seems sensible to me.

Even then ... cycle patterns matter ... gotta get there right before the halving and ride the wave up into the summer/fall of the year following, and somehow these big talking folks always tell people to do these things at the worst possible time!

Unfortunately, it's also part of the cycle that the rich give such tips at the end of the cycle to push the market even further.

This should be a signal to both of us not to invest in cryptocurrencies for the time being, but to trade against the market.

Yes, that is true. This is indeed a strong signal. The fact that Senor Salinas is saying EXACTLY the same thing as Michael Saylor in 2021 is confirmation to me ... its just that the callousness of it makes me sick. I remember the slick promises made in 2006 before the financial crisis in 2008, and I've watched the toll that took on a generation of people. It's not just the gullible who suffer -- it's everyone connected to them, including all children. I know that the rich don't care. All I can do is just take their callousness and make the best of it for me and mine.

That's true, you don't need your own money, but if we already have our home, why selling it to acquire Bitcoin is something that doesn't make much sense to me?

That's the point of view of a millionaire. I don't think it's the best idea for those of us who don't have such a large fortune. The idea of saving Bitcoin for the future is excellent, but not if that means selling our home.

At this time, it is not worth buying Bitcoin at all. It is hovering at its top. So why are people here asking to buy? This is driving the same people crazy who will buy here and then wait for the next three years. So, wait for some time here. It is better to buy it when the next bear market comes. And now we should buy it from 70,000, 60,000, 50,000.
