Instagram Threads ironically released shortly after LeoFinance introduced Threads
Didn't see this one coming 😲
You can't make this stuff up. Most people on Hive are probably well aware that LeoFinance had been cooking up Threads for well over a year. We finally got our hands on Threads and so far people seem to really love it. We don't have a massive user base quite yet, but I thought Threads was a much-needed addition to Hive's ecosystem.
Fast-forward a few months and somehow Instagram has released an app called Threads that does basically the exact same thing. They are saying it's aiming to be a competitor to Twitter, but to me it seems more like a timely clone of LeoFinance Threads.
There is no telling if Meta/Facebook/Instagram saw LeoFinance Threads and it inspired them. Most would probably say that did not happen. I can't help but feel like it happened though.
In today's video, I will be discussing this surprise release of Instagram Threads. Maybe they had talked about coming out with this previously, but I had never heard of it until July 5th when the app suddenly appeared on the app stores and began to flood social media.
The main draw here is that you can bridge your Instagram followers over to a Twitter-like interface. Where in the past it was more difficult to get your Instagram followers to migrate to Twitter for thread-like content. I understand the reasoning behind Instagram Threads, but what I don't get is why so many people are still happy to sign control of their content and information over to these huge corporations who do nothing but profit off of us. Just on the first day of Threads release, there have already been over 100 million accounts signed up. Pretty crazy numbers and I think Twitter is probably shitting bricks right about now worried that their numbers are going to fall off a cliff.
It will be interesting to witness the battle between Twitter and Instagram Threads. It does seem like we are all being distracted from something bigger though. I mean they are even pitting the two faces of these platforms against each other in an actual fight. I still can't believe that Elon Musk vs Mark Zuckerburg is actually happening. Crazy times we live in. You'd be foolish to think this isn't all planned though. The elites are meticulous and they see everything. This is why my gut tells me https://www.threads.net/ is just another Web2 app that is trying to keep users from transitioning to Web3.

I doubt very seriously that Instagram launched Threads because of Leo Finance. Mark Zuckerberg has probably never even heard of Leo Finance.
I agree, was just ironic to me.
Seeing the Thread by Meta, I thought at first that it was the Thread of Leofinance, which is being considered as an alternative to Twitter!
I am not interested in Threads, another Web2 app, its like the another face of the same shit.

I wonder how long before the Zuckerberg Empire decides to do their normal thing of eliminating the competition through Lawfare, only to find that Hive doesn't have a CEO, board of directors or physical presence to deliver court papers to ?

It must be a matter of coincidence and nothing else I think.
We may never know. He might have heard about Leothreads, or not. But one thing is certain, these big companies don't give an sh’t about anything except what makes them more money.
Everything is happening so fast. From Twitter, page views limit to, a Zuck vs Musk fight, and now, threads competing against Twitter.
it's obvious that something else is going on, or about to happen soon, that we are currently missing due to all the dramas and bankers.
As for me, I don't see a Musk vs Zuck fight ever happening.
The great distraction is 24/7 these days.

I think it's too early to say which platform will be more successful. Meta Threads has the advantage of being backed by a large company with a lot of resources, but LeoFinance Threads has the advantage of being first to market.
Ultimately, I think it will come down to which platform users prefer. If users are looking for a platform that is integrated with their existing social media accounts, then Meta Threads may be a better choice. If users are looking for a platform that is more decentralized and gives them more control over their data, then LeoFinance Threads may be a better choice.
For my case, i'm using NOSTR and there you actually earn some btc (sats) with your content, you should chek it out, i've earned 47k sats so far in less than a month (14,20$)
