My 28th Instacart paycheck 💸 🛒

Despite working the least amount of hours that I have in many weeks, I still managed to earn a decent bit thanks to above-average hourly pay.

No orders = No work

Thursday, July 20th

At last, I finally had a day where I got some orders worth accepting. It was still a pretty slow day, but it beat the previous three days of no earnings.

I made about $51.96/hr on this day.

I wish I could tell you how many pints I sweat this day because it was so hot. There wasn't a moment during the entire period of time that I was working where I was not sweating. I was never inside the store long enough to cool down. I'm not complaining though, I always welcome a good sweat, especially if I'm earning some money while doing it.

Friday, July 21st

Yet another totally dead day of Instacart for me. The only reason I accepted this one order I did get is because I was already at the store and it was a one-minute drive to the customer. They only asked for a few items and it was a quick shop.

I made about $52.63/hr on this day.

Don't let the estimated hourly pay fool you, I barely made any money at all Friday. If I would have been able to keep up the pace for 2-4 hours, then yea it would have been quite nice. 13 minutes though, it's quite laughable.

Saturday, July 22nd

Thank goodness Saturday was full of orders for me from start to finish. I didn't waste time sitting around waiting at all really. Granted, none of the orders were large and that also means they had smaller than usual tips. However, I only accepted orders that were extremely close to the store. I had several orders take me less than 20 minutes to both shop and deliver. Fuel consumption can easily cut into your earnings, but today that wasn't much of a factor.

I made about $58.93/hr on this day.

Hourly earning was pretty huge and I just wish I could have worked a solid 3 or 4 hours at this rate. This was still my best day of the week so far, so I felt pretty good about the results.

Sunday, July 23rd

Sunday was just about as good as Saturday was. Far from my best day ever, but considering how things have been going lately with Instacart, I considered it a solid outing.

I made about $54.05/hr on this day.

Thankfully, I had consistent orders through the afternoon. I didn't have to work too hard or drive too far. One that that was weird was the fact that I had two customers in a row order a bouquet of flowers. That has only happened a handful of times in 7 months for me, but to have two customers in a row on the same day is just funny to me.

End of week hours and pay 🤑

My weekly pay was about $275 and I worked right at 5 hours.

I made about $54.96/hr on average this past week.

I love seeing the hourly pay over $50, this means my productivity is through the roof. As I've said before though, I could stand to double, triple, or even quadruple the amount of hours that I work. Getting weekly earnings of over $1000/week would be extremely nice. I'm hoping it happens in the fall, but I'm also not going to hold my breath.

Next week I will only be able to work Mon-Thurs as I am leaving Friday morning for a week-long vacation with my family to Seaside Heights, NJ aka the Jersey Shore beach. Wish my luck on those four days and let's hope that I can earn a decent bit because having to take over a week off is not something I was able to easily let myself do.
