My 27th Instacart paycheck ๐Ÿ’ธ ๐Ÿ›’

My grocery shopping adventures continue this week as I finished up my 27th week of working as an Instacart shopper.

I plan on doing a weekly Instacart Financial Report like this one, so if you enjoy this kind of content be sure to follow me if you aren't already doing so.

I'm going to be breaking down each day of work individually. Luckily, the Instacart Shopper app makes that extremely easy to do. Let's go ahead and get things started.

Monday, July 10th

monjul10.jpg

I refused to start this week off earning zero dollars. My determination led me to accept many orders that I normally would not, but it's better than no work at all. In fact, I still had a pretty good hourly wage and I was able to work a decent portion of the day.

I made about $36.31/hr on this day.

All of my orders from Monday were low mileage and had at minimum an average tip. None of the tips were huge like some days, but I at least didn't have to drive very far or stay in the store that long. My first two orders a day with my biggest orders of the day, and even though those only took about an hour.

Tuesday, July 11th

Tuesday was an odd day for Instacart. I went to the gym, did some work on videos for my blog, and then went to the pool. By the time I got done with all of that, it was already after 3 pm. I didn't expect to get to work much but was surprised with an amazing order from a customer that I had shopped for one other time. They live in a really nice house in one of the nicest neighborhoods in town. It's always a pleasure to do their shopping, especially since they answer messages instantly unlike 99% of people.

I made about $76.69/hr on this day.

As you can see, they left me a giant tip. Their order totaled nearly $450, so they tipped about 20%, which is excellent. I had a cart full, but it was only about 40 items. They purchased a lot of the most expensive dog food and sodas, which made the price of their order skyrocket.

Thank goodness I was able to accept this one because it was the only order of the day for me. Just one order and better than all of Monday was this week.

Wednesday, July 12th

Thursday, July 13th

No batches = No work

Friday, July 14th

frijul14.jpg

Friday came and went. I sure didn't get to work quite as much as I was hoping to. I had a few decent batches in the morning, but afternoon time it died down and I had family things to do during the evening.

I made about $45.08/hr on this day.

I had a customer shake my hand after I made his delivery. That had never happened before, but I appreciated it, although he didn't leave a large tip. Then one of my other customers of the day decided to raise my tip an extra $5 after I delivered their items. Not a bad day, but far from my best.

Saturday, July 15th

satjul15.jpg

I got started super early on Saturday but didn't manage to snag a batch until around 930 am. After that, it stayed somewhat consistent throughout the rest of the day. I ended up getting a total of 4 batches, which was a huge relief.

I made about $41.98/hr on this day.

I had to end my day after I finished the 2:30 order. As soon as I completed the delivery it started to rain. Then by the time I reached the store once more, it was a torrential downpour and the streets had standing water instantly. It was not the type of weather I wanted to continue working in, especially since I had only planned to do one more order. Since I had hit my $100 daily earnings mark, I decided it would be okay to throw in the towel.

Sunday, July 16th

sunjul16.jpg

I got a late start on Sunday due to having a long and fun night Saturday. It was certainly not my busiest Sunday ever, but I did get a few orders throughout the afternoon. None were huge tips like I was hoping for, but I'm glad I didn't end the week with a $0 day.

I made about $50.92/hr on this day.

End of week hours and pay ๐Ÿค‘

week27.jpg

My weekly pay was close to $375 and I worked almost 8 hours.

I made about $47.32/hr on average this past week.

It's crazy that my actual work hours while being online to work 7 days a week are equal to an average person's one-day shift of 8 hours. I am so thankful to no longer be stuck in that cycle. I'll do whatever I must to remain on my current path where I actually enjoy every part of my life.

Doing it again next week ๐Ÿ‘€

We are in the second half of summer. I have a feeling once fall comes around things will pick up again and I'll be back to easily making over $500 a week.

I hope you have enjoyed this insider look at what kind of pay is possible while working for Instacart.

They tip after you have delivered the order, right?

Actually, you can see your tip before you accept the order with Instacart. The customer can raise or lower the tip after you deliver. 95% of the time it stays the same as when you accepted it though.

You're doing pretty damn good! I thought things would pick up over summer with the kids out of school but apparently that's not the case. But never fear...school will soon be here! LOL sorry kids :D

It's interesting to see how your earnings vary from day to day, and how much you can make in a week if you're able to work consistently.

I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying your work as an Instacart shopper. It sounds like you've found a way to make money while also having a flexible schedule that allows you to enjoy your life.

I'm also interested in the tips you shared. It's good to know that you can increase your earnings by being responsive to messages and providing excellent customer service.

It keeps the job interesting. It is not as consistent as some jobs, but it feels more rewarding during the good moments.

๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿค™ oh yea.. doin' it, and doing it again, and again.. ๐Ÿ’ช (like working out)

I call anything more than $0 earned as winning.. but yea, who doesn't like to add some zeros to the result..?
