My Instacart Financial Report - Week 18
My 18th Instacart paycheck πΈ π
I missed out on three days of work to start this week since I was traveling. It was nice to be able to take some time off, but I was happy to get back into action whenever I did finally get to work again on Thursday.
I plan on doing a weekly Instacart Financial Report like this one, so if you enjoy this kind of content be sure to follow me if you aren't already doing so.
I'm going to be breaking down each day of work individually. Luckily, the Instacart Shopper app makes that extremely easy to do. Let's go ahead and get things started.
Monday, May 8th
Tuesday, May 9th
Wednesday, May 10th
Didn't work due to traveling and also getting settled in back at home during my first day back.
Thursday, May 11th
My first day getting back to work in a week. It was nice to get back into the routine, but sadly there weren't a whole lot of orders for me to do. I did get a couple of batches and I was pleased to find out that I hadn't lost my touch. I still had all the aisles memorized and got through my orders swiftly.
I made about $36.12/hr on this day.
I usually don't meet my customers, but on Thursday I met 3 out of 4. One was a lady that I visit all of the time and she was just as sweet as ever. She has a very steep driveway that my low car simply cannot go up. So I always back up to the bottom of it and just carry all of her items inside. She feels bad for it every single time, but I always assure her that I don't mind and actually appreciate the workout. She had several 24-packs of water and she was amazed that I was able to bring them up all at once. She left a tip on the app but also insisted that I accepted $4 cash from her.
One of the other older women that I met was also very sweet. She came outside the door just as I was about to leave. We chatted for a few minutes and she told me she had lived in that house for 21 years and it was 100 years old. Pretty cool and I could tell she was desperate for some human interaction. I'm always extra happy when I'm able to make someone's day. To my surprise, she decided to increase my tip by $5 after I left.
Friday, May 12th
Friday was a pretty solid day. I only ended up working a few hours, but made just about $100 which is fine by me.
I made about $50.23/hr on this day.
Most batches take an average shopper around an hour to complete. I get it done twice as fast and can usually finish up in just about 30 minutes total depending on how close the delivery point is. I'm pretty proud of the fact that my seconds per item is currently at 44. Anything under 100 is pretty good, but once you get under 50 then you are at the top of the pack.
Saturday, May 13th
Well, Saturday was a dud of a day. I had carved out a giant portion of my day to work and sadly there weren't any batches worth doing. I got a couple of orders, but it wasn't enough to keep me busy much past the morning.
I made about $38.96/hr on this day.
I still love doing this job so much, but if I could change one thing about it I'd just ask that there actually be enough batches for me to work as much as I want. Perhaps Sunday will be different.
Sunday, May 14th
I got a late start on my Sunday shopping, but I did manage to snag a nice order for my first of the day. I was hoping to keep up the good luck and ideally make over $100 for the day, but sadly it just didn't happen due to low batch volume.
I made about $43.74/hr on this day.
As you see my last order ended up getting canceled. This happened because the customer only asked for one item and that item was out of stock. I was still paid for my 10 minutes of wasted time.
End of week hours and pay π€
My weekly pay was close to $250 and I nearly worked a whopping 6 hours.
I made about $42.46/hr on average this past week.
It was a rough week, in fact, my second lowest earning week since starting Instacart this year. I think that since I'll be able to work a full week this coming week, I should hopefully be able to boost my earnings back up to a more respectable number.
I hope you have enjoyed this insider look at what kind of pay is possible while working for Instacart.

Instacart shopper app, that's amazing. Have a great day.
Are you looking business outside your country??
Iβm not sure what you are asking.
I mean your business is only in your country or outside the country
Instacart is USA and Canada only right now.
Yeah, looking forward to seeing those $600 weeks again!
I know right. I need it.
You are a very amazing worker
Keep it up!!!
Too bad I don't keeps. GoPro strapped to my chest so you could see how many grocery bags I carry at once.
Is it work from home type business or just a regular business ?
It's a grocery deliver business. I shop and then deliver goods. I'm an independent contractor for a company called Instacart.
Ok. So you earn commission on each product on MRP, right?
No commission. I get paid a rate from Instacart, but the bulk of my pay comes from customer tips.
Felicidades por tu constancia y dedicaciΓ³n.saludos.
Its not bad. But the way you were working before, then the earning you had was getting too much.
I need to get back to those earlier months' numbers.

not bad at all! that reminds me of my days (nights really) working at the computer lab at Univ. of Hawaii. It was very part time work and I had a few 6 hr work weeks.. I don't think I got paid nearly as good tho.. :(
But you were/are in Hawaii, so that makes up for any lack of pay or hours in my book.
