We Are The Fortunate Few

source

I count my lucky stars everyday for getting involved in crypto when I did and believe this will make a big difference financially for most of us who have grown our portfolios. If you have not then that is down to you and only have yourself to blame. Crypto will be the difference of those that have and those that have nothing. My friend wo I helped invest in crypto a few months back is already up by 40% and that is what we need to stay ahead.

I do most of my family's grocery shopping mainly for the fact I know my prices and I don't walk up every aisle and basically buy what we require with a few treats here and there.

Lately I have started shopping at multiple shops as the one stop shop convenience buying is just too costly these days. I know that out of the 3 in shops certain products will be on special or another name for the old price from 3 moths ago. It may not be convenient doing this, but I would guess it saves a good $100 per week which I believe is worth while.

The milk and bread prices across the board varies so much now the cost has inched up from R23.99 to R31.99 and have even seen R35.99 which no doubt will be the new price in January. This seems to be the trend introducing a new price whilst offering the old price as a special so you sub consciously are aware that is now the price.

I honestly do not know how the middle class and lower income groups are making ends meet. We had someone in our street have their power cut yesterday due to owing an outstanding amount of R61K. They are screwed as they must be in a heap of debt to get to this point.

One of my staff members wo does not earn a fortune mentioned he pays more than R3K monthly powering his 2 bedroom house. The reason for this is the cost of pre paid electricity has bee rising continuously. He is paying out roughly 25% of his salary on electricity alone. Another 25% will go on transport so in theory he has less than 50% to make ends meet. Mind you he is better off than most which shows you how scary this is for many.

Ok, true I am in a different bracket to many yet I am being careful
were and how I spend making it last a little further. I am having solar installed so that will help, but I still feel the effects of rising prices due to service costs increasing.

Next year the proposed 36-40% increase in electricity prices will impact food prices. That alone will send milk over R40 by April along with all the other items rising that you buy. How is my employee going to cope next year when he has to find an extra R1.2K for electricity?

When you think about the state of the economy not only here, but around the world what we are seeing is terrifying. Having crypto investments has to be a must have for the future just to stay ahead of the tidal wave that is slowly engulfing the lower and middle classes. How much pension will we need is a total thumb suck?

I read an article last week which I should write about comparing car prices from 2012 to 2024. Some models have risen by 400% in 12 years which is ludicrous and manufacturers wonder why Chinese cars are becoming more popular. What we are seeing is unrealistic and unsustainable with the end result our economies crashing. Then everyone will wish they had crypto and why we have to keep building and accumulating like never before.

Yes, crypto particularly BTC is an interesting hedge against inflation. However with the typical drops of 80-90% during bear markets it is surely not for the faint of heart :)

No you need to know what you are doing by selling and buying at the right times. f you can avoid the 90% drop by selling before and buying when it is close to the bottom you will be seriously wealthy within 2 cycles.

I'm glad the crypto market has found some love. Now that my gold and silver bags are full I have a new pastime. Now I need a course on when to sell!😁
