Pranking my daughter

@leogrowth has set the stage for today's topic.
April fools prank gone wrong.

For me it was perfect timing that April 1st was a Monday. It meant I could confuse my daughter from the very second she woke up, making her more likely to believe just about anything I'd say.

I woke up before her and began thinking about what would give a great, utterly confused reaction from her... as it often happens, I was completely out of ideas, so it ended up with me waking her up by telling her we were in a hurry because we needed to catch the flight for our holiday.

AI generated image, **not** my actual daughter

Now, if I had been woken up like that, I would probably be out of myself! I am extremely gullible in the morning - I am horrible at early mornings 😂
With my daughter, 8 years of age, I was expecting something similar.

And yet, the only thing she said, even before opening her eyes, was "we're not going on holiday, dad".

So much for that prank 🤣🤣

hahaha.. You didn't really want to prank her. Did you? I think, it's only for her to remember that you did something on a certain day..

I did want to prank her, just without being mean or cruel - and then the ideas just wasn't there. Next year I'll make sure I have thought of something beforehand 😂

I can tell. It is probably a parent thing. You want her to feel close. But, still care about all of that more. =P

Enjoy your week,
