🐝 Saturday Savers Week 47 β€” All Flags Still Green!

avatar

TLDR; Nice week, goals already done, busy days in real life, witnesses keep running, tools keep growing, and saving continues while the 2026 goals slowly take shape for next years #saturdaysavers !. Life Before Hive… but Hive still gets plenty of love.

Alright, deep breath… here we go.

Man, what a week again. Sometimes you get these weeks where you just think: β€œGood thing I finished all my goals last week, because otherwise this would have turned into a gigantic train wreck.” And yeah… this was one of those.

Hive goals: all completed, every single one

15000 HP? Check.250 EDSI? Check.BBHO, BXT, LEO? Check, check, check.

The table basically mocks me at this point. Everything is green. So green an avocado would get jealous. And the funniest part? I barely moved forward this week… but it doesn’t matter anymore. β€œMission accomplished,” and the train still keeps rolling.

image.png

Life… that thing happening between all the hivin’

This week was more β€œcare team” than β€œtech team.” Our youngest son had surgery on Thursday, which, understated version, required quite a bit of logistics and problem-solving for me and @nathalie-s. Our daughter still has a long road ahead too, so lots of appointments, measurements, medical talks, and admin.

And then suddenly… HELLO hard fork! My witness still half in its pajamas, Hive already rebooting, and I had exactly zero time. But look: the @botlord witness survived it, is running smoothly again, and syncing like nothing happened.

Voting is still allowed, of course πŸ˜‰ πŸ‘‰ https://peakd.com/witnesses πŸ‘‰ https://ecency.com/witnesses (scroll down a bit to find @botlord)

Coding: β€œin between everything” is still work

There I was: kid in pain on the left, stress on the right, Hive Engine on fire again in the background… And still, I pushed an update to the Tipping Bots Tool: πŸ‘‰ https://tipping.botlord.eu More bots, more info, correct instructions, more things that actually work.

The payout scripts, on the other hand… well… let’s just say this week was β€œshit happens Γ— rate limits Γ— human error.” But hey, that’s how learning works. Trial, error, facepalm, fix, and repeat.

The numbers?

Honestly? Pretty good:

  • HP slightly up, doesn’t need to go higher anymore. Well, it does. A lot, but not for reaching THIS goal.

  • EDSI moving into β€œoverachiever” territory

  • BXT stable

  • All systems still green

And let’s be real: when all your goals are reached, +118 HP feels just as good as +1180 HP.

2026 goals are starting to bubble up

And now… what’s next?

  • 25000 HP?

  • 30000 HP?

  • 1500 HBD? 2000? 2500?

  • Stack more DUO?

  • GIFU maybe?

  • BBHO always welcome.

  • And the big BXT question…

Still not sure about BXT. The drip is nice (0.4/day), but Beeswap having random coma attacks doesn’t exactly inspire confidence.

But first: rest, family, health. The goals are done. Time to breathe. And after that? 2026 baby! We’re going to smash that one too.

You're just showing off now..lol! Thankfully I'm on track to reach my 2025 goals for HP and HBD in Savings before mid December. Regarding BXT, given the attitude of the fellow that runs it, and it's unreliability, I'm unstaking all my BXT, and I'm going to swap it for DBOND/DAB/RUG, which give comparable returns, they're run by solid people who communicate, and they are far more reliable. I'm curious what makes you interested in GIFU? Since the BRO project was very much involved with that, I liquidated all mine. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

Yup, this was nothing but a showing-off post indeed :-) Maybe I should pause posting for the Saturday Savers until next year :-D
For BXT, thinking about doing the same indeed… The instability of the platform (still like it though, so a real pity!), the unreliability and lack of communication of the fellow… yeah…
And indeed, the DBOnD/DAB/RUG people and EDSI people are much better at all that.
As for Gifu… well… The Bro guy was involved in it indeed, but the other guys are now seeing to revive it I’ve heard…

Hahaha...I would be doing it too, so enjoy it! Maybe start running some projections, and hashing out new potential goals, with their respective benefits?

Dude, I'm so sad about BeeSwap and BXT, because I really love both of them, and it's a fantastic system, so you're right, it's a huge pity indeed! My 916 BXT unstakes tomorrow morning, and I'm revving to go! It's going to take a bit to get enough DAB for the same kind of HIVE payouts that I used to receive for my BXT, but the cool thing about it is that DBOND and DAB feed into, and compound each other, so they'll both just keep growing. OK, that's good to know about GIFU. I'll let it accumulate again and add it back into the pool. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

That's indeed a good idea, some more of the projections like I did with EDSD vs HBD recently... Yup, will do some more of that ;-)
Yeah, feeling the same about BXT & Beeswap, and in a way I'm thinking of just leaving it there, hoping that his spirit picks up again. On the other hand, it is not just a little, and I would hate to see the money go up in smoke as well...
DBOND/DAB are in my fav list as well, and I love the setup of that system, but might also go for DUO or EDSI again...

I'm glad that you like it, and yes, exactly. I think that it will give you some good information that will help you decide more easily.

Yes, I thought about just leaving my BXT staked, and what I had in the pool, but it was a big investment for me that had a purpose, that worked great for long stretches of time, but always with the breaks in payouts. It was the attitude of the fellow who runs it that was the straw that broke the camel's back, as the saying goes. I did my BXT-to-DBOND-DAB-RUB switcheroo this morning, right after I saw your news about the witness, so now I have a good bit of all three of those, though the price of BXT dropped during the night, so I definitely got less SWAP.HIVE for it than I would have liked, but that's often how playing with layer-2 tokens goes, so I've gotten used to it. I love EDSI and DUO too, for sure, and I'm still slowly going deeper in both of those too. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

I feel ya, believe me. Thankfully it only takes 3 days to unstake in full. Yep, it's under 1 SWAP.HIVE again. I've got to say that DBOND/DAB/RUG still confuse me a fair bit, since the various payouts seem quite inconsistent. For example, even with the 66+ DAB sitting on this account , and 4+ sitting on @aliveandthriving, I still haven't seen any incoming HIVE transactions from @dab-treasury, and yet, when I look at others with comparable or even fewer liquid DAB, they are receiving HIVE payouts, so I honestly have no idea what is going on at the moment...lol! πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

It's super weird! It's like the payout script isn't picking up new accounts with valid holdings.

RUG gives DBOND, so it's a way to be able to stake your DAB, and still grow DBOND. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

Thankfully I found a better Discord server to use to mention issues and to ask question, The Pub. They were aware of the missed payouts, and it got fixed today, so makeup payments were sent out, in addition to the payouts for today. It's a solid token and project, but yes, it does have lapses, but at least they're made up, unlike missed payouts from BXT. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

I suggest removing one of your votes from the Top 20 Hive Witnesses, since they won't need it anyway (at least at present). πŸ€” You can then vote for the Witness node of @borniet's wife to help bring her Hive account's Witness ranking (slightly) higher !INDEED. 😎

I hope so, and I'm glad that I won't be a part of it, unless of course the conversations are actually interesting, and even then I don't like multiple threads of conversation under the same post.

Fingers crossed! πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

If you are part of those conversations, then you could simply reply to one of the comments for every "layer" even if they talk using multiple replies per comment. πŸ€“

My BEER token tipping command on my previous comment worked twice, here and here. πŸ€” That's "drunk BEER tipping" !INDEED! πŸ»πŸ˜‚

A Hive token tipping bot might get wacky like what happened to Crrdlx's HBIT bot (which technically is a token tipping bot too because it gives 0.1 HBIT to the author of the post or comment being replied to) before. πŸ˜…

I wonder how we can say how well a bot works if it employs some sort of randomization (such as the HBIT token mining bot randomly giving BLAQ-based tokens). πŸ€”

The randomization itself may have problems too (such as the random number generator producing numbers that mostly "lean" to one side). πŸ€―πŸ€“

The first part of your sentence there is pretty convoluted and difficult to understand. Then it wouldn't be a true random-number generator if it skews to one side. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

Well, as long as you don't do any more digital archaeology, it shouldn't be a problem any longer, because the Saturday Savers Club came to an end after 5 years of operation. The Slothly Savers Club (I came up with 'Slothly', it was originally just 'Sloth'), a newly rebranded and relaunched iteration of the Saturday Savers Club that just began doesn't have any rules at all against tip usage. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

Do you mean that if I continue doing "digital archaeology", I might (accidentally) use token tipping commands under official #SaturdaySavers posts that might get noticed by someone else? 🀯

While it's known that you love coining terms, you also use already-existing but unusual words such as "Slothly". πŸ˜†

I had indeed considered doing so, but I want her to be able to start with it herself first. Once she has kicked it off, I will promote it as well, but until then, I want to keep it low key, I don't want to steal that from her. And currently, the home situation is hefty enough for her to think about without the need for this to be added. But when people ask about it, I won't deny, and I won't stop other people from voting on it (on the contrary!), but I won't start with it yet. It's... well... weird perhaps, difficult to explain...

Yes, I've noticed the catch-up there as well indeed. I've done the same for my bots, it keeps track of the last block that it worked on, but out of testing I've noticed that I had to put in a treshold of about 3 days of delay, or it couldn't catch back up in a reasonable time.
We'll see, because it has been offline for quite a while now...
