Nicely written. I'm one of those that has been doing the daily manual voting for 8 years. I did try a couple automated voting tools way back in the early days, but haven't looked at them recently.

This looks like it may be time to give it another try. Appreciate the detailed info.

I would much rather prefer that people read content.

Then vote for it if they like it. An autovote reduces your agency, and devalues the work that authors put into things. If HIVE is simply an investment vehicle for getting "rewards", then people are very much missing the point.

It is a place for people to express themselves. It is a place for people to engage with one another.

It is a place where real relationships can flourish, and content that would never see the light of day on other platforms can be published by people who create because they have a burning desire to do so.

Automatic voting destroys the social structure of HIVE, and actively turns it into a "hands off" platform, when it can only succeed when people are having meaningful conversations and connections.

Otherwise, what is the point of visiting a dead wasteland dominated by automatic votes?

#DBuzz used to have an app named #AutoVote (https://auto.vote) which was a fork of #HiveVote, though is no longer operational due to their overall team size (not to mention the dev team) getting drastically reduced. 🤔🤯

Anyway, both I and @savvyplayer use #HiveVote, which only triggers if the Voting Power of either one of us is already close to 100%, but we still prefer manual voting (with a preference on Followed feeds first). 🧘‍♂️🤓

I've used Hive.Vote for years, and it is very reliable, and I like to do a lot of manual voting too. It definitely does really helps out with steady income, and supporting people and projects that I want, so I certainly appreciate it. I do wish it had a Hive Keychain login, though. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
