How to Lose Money in *Both* Bull and Bear Markets Like a Pro!
Gather 'round, gather 'round, future financial wizards and current market victims. Somebody asked, "Do people lose more money in a bull or bear market?" and honestly, that’s like asking if you gain more weight from fast food or dessert. The answer? Yes.
Let’s break this down, with a mix of cold-hard truth and a little slap-in-the-face motivation.
Bull Market: where the overconfidence begins
Ah, the sweet, seductive bull market. Prices are going UP. Your neighbor suddenly thinks he's Warren Buffett. Your Uber driver is giving crypto advice. Your cousin who still owes you $50 is now a "financial guru" on TikTok.
What do people do? They FOMO in. They see green candles and go full send, throwing money into stocks and crypto, not because they understand them, but because "Bro, it's only going up!"
This is mistake #1: buying high, fueled by euphoria and hopium. But don’t worry, the pain hasn’t started yet.
Bear Market: where regret kicks in
Then, reality slaps hard. Prices dip. The media starts screaming "RECESSION! CRYPTO IS DEAD! SELL EVERYTHING!", and people panic.
So what do they do? They sell low. They cut their losses. They give up. Because fear always wins over logic.
This is mistake #2: selling low because you forgot the number one rule: Buy low, sell high. Instead, you did the opposite. Again. Like 99% of retail investors.
The Bonus Loss: missing out on bigger gains
Oh, but we’re not done. Let’s say you did make money in the bull market. You bought BTC at $10K, it hit $50K, and you sold. NICE! You made 5X! You feel like a genius.
Then BTC goes to $100K. Then $200K. Now you’re sitting there, staring at your screen, realizing you left millions on the table.
You didn’t technically lose money, but you sure as hell lost potential money, which hurts even more.
So, who loses more?
The answer: Everyone who doesn’t have a plan.
Markets go up, markets go down. But people who don’t understand cycles, risk management, and patience? They lose in both directions.
Moral of the story:
✅ Stop buying just because something is going up.
✅ Stop selling just because something is going down.
✅ If you’re gonna play the game, study the damn rules first.
Or, you know, just HODL and check back in 10 years. Your call! And guess which route I'm taking...

I'm not a trader and I don't really buy or sell crypto, but I do have a small amount of BTC since a few years ago and I'm just in HODL since then and it went from $5 to $20 in a couple years, I think.
I'm not planning to touch that money unless it is completely necessary but I'm planning to buy it back when I can if I do use it for something.
Sounds like a solid plan indeed! HODL it for as long as you can. Some people with good trackrecords predict that BTC will go up quite a bit still! So even if you won't get rich with the small amount you have, it might still be worth it!

I'm also working on an income tokens systems, starting with !INDEED, which is also an upvoting service if you own enough IDD. Working on this together with @tydynrain, and the intention is to set up a whole suite under the !MMB umbrella (Maximum Mutual Benefit).
Still a lot of work to do though :-) And the official communication of the IDD upvoting system has yet to be done, you're actually one of the first to know :-D
PAKX is neat, but PAKX is VERY VERY SLOW! :D Not that that is bad, its just a massive snowball effect down the line :D

Possible, started with !INDEED and some others, such as !HOPE. Then the idea came to create some more, such as !STRIDE and !WEIRD, and place them all under !MMB to max it all out.

I have had the idea of making a Income Token, but the only way to get that Income token, was to use call bots, such as luv, beer etc or ofc buy it from the market but it would only have a small small chance of getting you one of these tokens like 5% per call ^^
Creating a better use case for call bots which already do good things here on hive ^^

Right, well, for me it was the other way around, there was a broken bot, and I fixed it, then totally rewrote it (for BBH), and then started writing my own with the ideas I got there. From there the idea of tokens and income tokens came.

Indeed… and no idea why. Funniest thing of all? Some are getting downvotes, some are not, even though they the exact same thing, with the exact same code and frequencies behind it all.
Been asking why for months, trying to contact people, but never got any single reply, just downvotes.
Well, its properly because of the automatic generated "spam" posts, I would say.
Also, all are getting downvoted as far as I could see, but its only at day 7 or day 6.5 they are getting downvoted by buildawhale, which is run by Marky Mark.

Yeah, originally they were using comments, just like the other bots, but that was creating a lot of comment-overhead, which I didn't like at all, especially if a lot of tips were given (as I like to do sometimes). So instead of placing a comment for each tipping call, I redesigned the bots, and started working with these summary posts. I do see the automatically generated posts, thus spam rule, but on the other hand, nobody can expect me to get up every night to manually write some words around the overview :-)
So next up, I experimented with adding in an AI generated intro to the posts, to not have the same post each and every day :-) But that was shot down even faster :-D And honestly, at this moment, I'm out of ideas on how to run these without being downvoted.
As for which ones, yes, ALL of mine are being downvoted, but I opensourced my code, and I know some other projects are using it, without the downvoting...
They are properly not needed daily though :D
Or at all, they are properly seen as not add much value to the blockchain, might always be a reason for the downvotes xD
Well, since they are all connected, I am thinking of sending only 1 summary each day (or maybe even each week?) for the combination of all bots, and post it on the !MMB account. Big reduction of "spam" again, and still informing the users. Fun fact is that the users of the bots all appreciate the Daily Summary :-)
But they will still appreciate it if it is centralized of course. It will take a lot of work, as each bot is now logging all its use in its own regard, and then I would need to centralize it. But could be done.
What's your take on that solution? (totally appreciating your honest and valuable input here btw!)

My plan is accumulating everything and if I see insane pump take some profits then keep accumulating more and start buying back if we drop 70%
And yes, last November / December my neighbor was telling me how he is making a ton of money and was advising me to buy Tesla, Nvidia and crypto. I should have taken more profits :)
Sounds like a solid plan to me! ;-) I do tend to spread a lot though, making the big profits from pumps less likely, but also less likely to see major dips.
