Switched my entire family to Airtel postpaid

India used to be one of the countries that provided cheap data. I came to know about this after talking to some of my friends in other countries. It appears that the internet is comparatively cheap in India. Thanks for the advancement in information and technology. Another good thing about this in India is that there are competitors who try to provide a better service than the other and ultimately give the best price to the consumers.

Recently, when Jio was launched, the same thing happened. All the outgoing calls were being charged and a new revolution was made where the outgoing calls became completely free after the launch of Jio. Today, we have the same thing with Data. These companies are earning a lot of money with data plans. There are some plans available that give unlimited data, but for small customers or prepaid customers, some plans are very costly, and they charge a lot of money. Today, the plans are also not very flexible.

I had been thinking about this for a very long time to switch to postpaid instead of prepaid. Even though Jio still provides a very good price for prepaid customers by providing a plan that is unlimited in everything for about Rs 276 per month. There are also similar plans available in Airtel. I have been using both service providers for a very long time. They are the main competitors in Chennai, and all other network providers have lost business in Chennai. That's a good thing as well as a bad thing because if there is no competition available, we have to abide only by their rules. We cannot question them because they don't care much, as they have good business even without us.

In my office, I have an option to submit telephone, internet, and mobile bills for tax exemption, and this is a benefit provided by the companies. For this, we have to submit the bills and get the tax exemption. This is one of the primary reasons why I wanted to switch to postpaid. With postpaid, we get more data, or sufficient data, I should say, and at the same time, we can also cover many services in just one bill. It is easy to just manage one bill payment and worry about the rest. To make it even easier, I have taken a combined plan for my entire family where all their mobile bills comes to me and I pay the mobile bills. I don't know if this is a money saver or not, but I have to say that it is easy and better to manage.

Even though the coverage is better than Airtel. Lately Jio's network has been suffering with outages and connectivity issues. Especially with the customer from high populace areas in cities like Mumbai and Chennai..
But it's always better to have different service providers at home just in case of emergency. During the flood in Chennai 2023, Airtel was first to out followed by jio the same evening.

Yeah true. I have my secondary phone number which is Jio. There also it is costly, I have just recharged 3599 for one year True 5g.

One good thing about Airtel is that there is a showroom nearby and we can visit there and yell at the manager if something goes wrong. With Jio we cannot do anything and that's why even for broadband I switched away from Jio.

Oh wow 15 € is costly. We get all these for less than 5€ a month.

the cost of data has become very high over here. we have four competitors nationwide with two leading the charge. we have to play by their rules. i have been eyeing that monthly unlimited but it will be a lost for personal use. it seems i am the one that surfs the internet most in my building, if we were much, it would have been much easier to collaborate.

I have to pay for about 69.000 Indonesian Rupiah for a limited data plan for my phone, more expensive than your monthly postpaid plan.
the postpaid that I have here in my country is even worse, I have tried it before, and have to switched back to cut the uneccesary payment.

You have a great deal there my friend.

Times have changed, now we live without the internet. It seems that we will never be able to live without the internet. Therefore, it is better for us to get information about everything and get such a package that costs less money and we get more on the internet. So, you have made a good decision.

Switching to postpaid for convenience and tax benefits makes sense, especially when managing multiple family plans. It highlights how smart choices in telecom can simplify life and maximize benefits in a competitive market.
