That's when we meet Naksoo (Ko Yoon-jung), a young sorceress who is capable of applying soul alchemy, seeking revenge after her father's death. She is known as the soul-changing assassin, until one day everything changes and she enters a body that she thought was the wrong one, but nothing in destiny happens without a reason, and she enters the body of Moo-deok (Jung So-min) who is the lost daughter of a clan that can control the ice stone through her powers as a priestess. As the eldest daughter and heir to the clan, she was lost and has no memories, which is why she connects with Naksoo and becomes one, realizing that she must find a way to strengthen that body or recover her own in order to continue her revenge.
But during this time, she meets Jang Wook (Lee Jae-wook), also a member of one of the four strongest families of sorcerers, who had a difficult childhood, rejected by his father, lost his mother, and although he is considered skilled, he cannot improve until he meets Naksoo and takes her as his teacher, despite knowing that she is a soul changer and that this is forbidden, since soul changers are uncontrollable and require the energy of a living being to continue existing. Despite everything, Naksoo/Moo-deck continues to move forward, and they support each other in their goal, causing feelings to arise between them that make them want to protect each other.
But it won't be that simple, as Naksoo has a cruel past, Jang is considered the king's star who will create catastrophe, and Moo-deck's body belongs to a powerful priestess who wants to return to destroy the ice stone and thus prevent chaos from reigning with the soul changers, since someone who simply wants power, beauty, and eternal youth is not capable of controlling such power, as they will not be capable of showing mercy to others and will be capable of killing even their own family. That is why the duty of doing the right thing will fall to Jang and Naksoo to alleviate the coming catastrophe and manage not only to save the world but also to have a chance for both of them. Es la historia en que los hechiceros de 4 grandes familias se unen para proteger el mundo de aquello que puede ocasionar su destrucción, pero como en todo siempre hay algo que radica un gran poder, como es la piedra de hielo, la cual es capaz de manejar todos los elementos y capaz de poder llevar el alma a otro cuerpo, conocida como la alquimia de almas, por lo que era la obsesión para algunos y solo una persona fue capaz de controlar y desaparecerla, al menos por un tiempo, pero todo cambiara y los nuevos hechiceros deberán luchar para controlar este poder y de esa manera evitar que aquellos que la quieren para vivir eternamente se salgan con la suya.
Es ahí cuando conocemos a Naksoo (Ko Yoon-jung) una joven hechicera, que es capaz de aplicar la alquimia de almas, en busca de venganza tras la muerte de su padre, es conocida como la asesina cambia almas, hasta que un día todo cambia y se introduce en un cuerpo que para ella era el equivocado pero nada en el destino pasa sin ninguna razón, y entra en el cuerpo de Moo-deok (Jung So-min) quien es la hija perdida de un clan del cual puede controlar la piedra del hielo por sus poderes de sacerdotisa, siendo ella la hija mayor y heredera del clan, fue extraviada y carece de recuerdos, es por ello que conecta con Naksoo y se vuelve una sola, dándose se cuenta que deberá encontrar la manera de fortalecer ese cuerpo o recuperar el suyo para continuar con su venganza.
Pero durante ello conoce a Jang Wook (Lee Jae-wook) también uno de los miembros de las 4 familias de hechiceros más fuertes, que tuvo una infancia complicada, rechazado por su padre, perdió a su mamá y aunque es considerado habilidoso no podrá mejorar hasta que conoce a Naksoo y la toma como su maestra, pese a saber que es un cambia alma y que ello está prohibido, ya que los cambia almas se descontrolan y requieren de la energía de un ser vivo para continuar existiendo, pero pese a todo Naksoo/Moo-deck sigue adelanto y ambos se apoyan entre sí por su objetivo, ocasionando que en el proceso surja un sentimiento entre ellos que haga que quiera protegerse el uno al otro.
Pero no todo será tan sencillo ya que Naksoo tiene un cruel pasado, Jang es considerado la estrella del rey que creara catástrofe y el cuerpo de Moo-deck es de una sacerdotisa poderosa que quiere regresar para acabar con la piedra de hielo y evitar de esta manera que reine el caos con los cambia almas, ya que alguien que simplemente quiere poder, belleza y juventud eterna no es capaz de controlar un poder como ello, ya que no será capaz de tener piedad hacia los demás y será capaz de matar así sea su propia familia, es por ello que el deber de hacer lo correcto caerá en Jang y Naksoo para aliviar la catástrofe que se avecina, y conseguir no solo salvar al mundo sino poder tener una oportunidad para ambos. Cuenta con todas temporadas en las cuales veremos la evolución de los personajes y como la lucha por un bien mayor se intensifica para salvar a todos, ambas entretenidas y sin duda alguna una historia que te cautiva de principio a fin.
