Two weeks ago I left you my opinions about the first installment of the Fantastic Beasts trilogy and, if you haven't read it yet, here is the Link of it. Anyway, this time I will be telling you about the other two movies: The Crimes of Grindelwald and Dumbledore's Secrets.
Fantastic Beasts and The Crimes of Grindelwald & Fantastic Beasts and The Secrets of Dumbledore …
The first one was released in 2018 and the second one in 2022, both films were directed by David Yates, and J. K. Rowling was in charge of the script, but in the third one, she had the support of Steve Kloves. They are of fantasy, drama and adventure genres.
What are the plots about?…
The story continues with Grindelwald in prison and, in his transfer to London, manages to escape, beginning to recruit others and join his cause: a world where pure wizards rule over the Muggles, that is, those people who have no magic, so New Scamander and his companions must find a way to stop his dark plans. However, he will have a hard time, because his rights as an international traveler were revoked and he could only have it if he worked as an Auror under the supervision of his brother, asking him to also find Credence, since he was alive and in Europe, but he rejects the offer.
However, a new character will appear this time: Professor Albus Dumbledore, who asks him to find Credence, despite giving him so many twists and turns, under personal circumstances, he sets out on the mission Dumbledore gave him.
From here, numerous dangers await New and his companions.
In the third part, continuing several years later after the second installment, Dumbledore, aware that he cannot confront Grindewald because of the blood pact they had made, recruits New, Jacob and other talented wizards to devise a plan to stop Grindewald from becoming a major influence and achieve world domination. It won't be easy, especially with the enemy predicting parts of the future, but they will require some indispensable tools to succeed, among them the survival of a peculiar and very important creature for the magical world. Will they be able to save both worlds and thwart Grindewald's plans?
Personal opinion
Let's go with the Grindewald crimes movie, personally, I liked the role of Johny Deep and Jude Law and the film in general, is quite entertaining with its cinematic flaws, it is worth noting, but, the fact that they have introduced us this story about Grindewald and his desire that pure wizards are the rulers was quite nice, because they were linking some plots and characters of what you already know in Harry Potter until new story presented, that means it has the magical formula of J. K Rollings' magic formula, awakening that curiosity that, for Harry Potter fans, we wanted to know in more depth.
The exhausting thing in this film, from my perspective, is the subplots that are formed, focusing on various secondary characters, which is somewhat complex and make you lose the central axis of the story on repeated occasions; however, it manages to arouse interest at the last moment, with revelations that you simply did not expect. The visuals are really attractive and the main characters play their roles very well, especially Johnny Deep, reincarnating a well achieved Grindewald.
From this last point, I would come my criticism to the third part, where Deep was replaced by Mads Mikkelsen, it is not that I hate the work that this actor did, rather I love how he makes his interpretations, however, I did not feel that fluency with Grindewald and that wonderful delivery that Deep was giving us in the second part, although Mikkelsen I must admit that he gave a good aura to the character; I know because of the legal problems that Deep had at that time, but in this film it was noticed that the quality was lowered in many ways and that he gave something to this figure, that attracted you.
As for the plot, I liked the weight that had the magical creatures in this production, since it is something that also focuses the film and, also, the fact that they have solved the problem that the main characters were bringing; but, its big flaw is the rhythm and constancy in the narrative that is being raised, it is given as many things at once and in that there is no structure that leads to the story itself (it makes it inconsistent) and falls even more on the quick resolution of the problem. I did like the special effects and all, however, if I had to choose my least favorite of the trilogy, without hesitation it would be this one.
Positive points…
-El as it awakens nostalgia for those of us who love the Harry Potter movies
.
-Well executed performances.
-The separate universe that manages to structure itself outside of Harry Potter, despite the fact that we are introduced to plots and characters that appear in this one.
-Well-designed special effects.
Negative points…
-So many subplots that give inconsistency to the story and lead nowhere.
-Few valid arguments.
-The development of the story and of the characters is lacking, even some of them, who had weight in the plot, were left aside, as if nothing had happened.

I think that, each one must see it and give his own interpretation of both films, they are good, but they had their faults and many times it can be by taste or affection opinions are given, so, although I have as judgment of such a thing, another considers it different and it is normal, since there are many elements that are treated and the variety of arguments, which of course, the points of view are also heterogeneous.

Hace dos semanas les deje mis opiniones acerca de la primera entrega de la trilogía de Animales Fantásticos y, si aún no la han leído, aquí les dejo el Enlace de la misma. En fin, en esta oportunidad les estaré hablando de las otras dos películas: Los crímenes de Grindelwald y los secretos de Dumbledore.

El primero se estrenó para el año 2018 y, el segundo en el 2022, ambos filmes, estuvieron bajo la dirección de David Yates, en cuanto al guion, estuvo a cargo J. K. Rowling, solo que en la tercera, contó con el apoyo de Steve Kloves. Son de géneros fantasía, drama y aventura.
¿De qué van las tramas?…
La historia continua con Grindelwald en prisión y, en su traslado a Londres, logra escapar, comenzando a reclutar a otros y se unan a su causa: un mundo donde los magos puros gobiernen sobre los Muggles, es decir, aquellas personas que no tienen magia, por lo que New Scamander y sus compañeros deberán encontrar la manera de detener sus oscuros planes. Sin embargo, la tendrá difícil, pues le fue revocado sus derechos como viajero internacional y solo lo podía tener si trabajaba como Auror bajo la supervisión de su hermano, pidiendo que también encuentre a Credence, ya que se encontraba vivo y en Europa, pero el rechaza la oferta.
No obstante, un nuevo personaje aparecerá en esta oportunidad: el profesor Albus Dumbledore, quien le pide que encuentre a Credence, a pesar de darle tantas vueltas, bajo circunstancias personales, pone en marcha la misión que Dumbledore le dio.
A partir de aquí, numerosos peligros le esperan a New y sus compañeros.
En la tercera parte, continuando varios años más tardes luego de la segunda entrega, Dumbledore consciente de que no puede enfrentar a Grindewald por el pacto de sangre que habían hecho, reclutando entonces a New, a Jacob y otros talentosos magos, a idear un plan para detener a Grindewald de ser una mayor influencia y lograr dominar el mundo. No será fácil, más con el enemigo prediciendo partes del futuro, pero para ello requerirán de algunas herramientas indispensables para alcanzar el éxito, entre ellos la sobrevivencia de una criatura peculiar y muy importante para el mundo mágico. ¿Serán capaces de salvar ambos mundos y frustar los planes de Grindewald?
Opinión personal
Vamos con la película de los crimines de Grindewald, en lo personal, me gustó el papel de Johny Deep y el de Jude Law y el filme en general, es bastante entretenido con sus fallos cinematográficos, cabe destacar, pero, el hecho de que nos hayan introducido esta historia sobre Grindewald y su ansias de que los magos puros sean los gobernantes fue bastante agradable, porque fueron enlazando algunas tramas y personajes de lo que ya conoces en Harry Potter hasta nueva historia presentada, eso significa que tiene la formula mágica de J.K Rollings, despertante esa curiosidad que, para los fanes de Harry Potter, deseábamos conocer a más profundidad.
Lo agotador en esta película, desde mi perspectiva, es las subtramas que se van formando, focalizándose en diversos personajes secundarios, que te resulta algo complejo y hacen perder el eje central de la historia reiteradas en ocasiones; sin embargo, logra despertar interés en el último instante, con revelaciones que simplemente no las esperabas. El apartado visual es realmente atractivo y los personajes principales hacen muy bien su papel, sobre todo Johnny Deep, rencarnando un Grindewald bien logrado.
Desde este último punto, vendría mi critica a la tercera parte, donde cambia a Deep por Mads Mikkelsen, no es que odie el trabajo que hizo este actor, más bien me encanta como hace sus interpretaciones, sin embargo, no se sintió esa fluidez con Grindewald y esa maravillosa entrega que nos venia dando Deep en la segunda parte, aunque Mikkelsen debo admitir que dotó de una buena aura el personaje; sé por los problemas legales que tuvo Deep en ese momento, pero en esta película se notó que bajaron la calidad en muchos sentidos y que, algo le daba él a esta figura, que te atraía.
En cuanto a la trama, me gustó el peso que tuvo las criaturas mágicas en esta producción, ya que es algo que también se focaliza la película y, asimismo, el que nos hayan resuelto el problema que venían trayendo los personajes principales; pero, su gran fallo es el ritmo y la constancia en la narración que se esta planteando, se dan como muchas cosas a la vez y en eso no hay una estructura que encamine a la historia en si (la vuelve inconsistente) y recae aún más en la resolución tan rápida del problema. Si me gustaron en efectos especiales y eso, sin embargo, si me dieran a escoger la menos favorita de la trilogía, sin dudarlo seria esta.
Puntos positivos…
-El como despierta la nostalgia hacia aquellos que amamos las películas de Harry Potter
-Actuaciones bien ejecutadas.
-El universo aparte que logra estructurarse fuera de Harry Potter, a pesar de que nos introducen tramas y personajes que aparecen en esta.
-Efectos especiales bien logrados.
Puntos negativos…
-Tantas subtramas que le dan inconsistencia a la historia y no hacen llegar a ningún lado
-Argumentos pocos válidos.
-Falta en el desarrollo de la historia y de los personajes, incluso algunos que venían tienen peso en la trama, fueron dejados de una lado, como si nada.

Creo que, cada uno debe verla y dar su propia interpretación de ambas películas, son buenas, pero tuvieron sus fallos y muchas veces puede ser por gusto o por cariño se dan las opiniones, por lo que, aunque yo tengan como juicio de tal cosa, otro lo considera distinto y es normal, ya que son muchos los elementos que se tratan y la variedad de argumentos, que por supuestos, los puntos de vista también resultan heterogéneos.

STOPCoincido totalmente contigo en que Johnny Depp le dio una profundidad increíble a Grindelwald en la segunda parte. Su carisma y ese tono ambiguo entre lo seductor y lo siniestro eran clave para entender por qué tantos lo seguían. Aunque Mads Mikkelsen es un actorazo, sentí que su versión del personaje perdía ese magnetismo oscuro que Depp había construido. Como dices, no es odio hacia Mikkelsen, pero el cambio se notó… y mucho. Lo que más rescato es cómo destacas el papel de las criaturas mágicas. Sin duda, son el alma de la saga (Newt es un tesoro). Gran reseña, espero algun dia pdamos volver a verlos, pero lo dudo.
