The Complexity Of Strength: "Weak Hero Class 2" Review
The scenes from this series still give me goosebumps when I think about them. It's been a while I saw the first season but I've never forgotten the tension and suspense it gave me until the end, I was so looking forward to seeing the second season with no worries whether it will be better than the first or not, turns out it's better.
I'm not a fan of action movies but this series right from the start have proven me wrong on that preference, the second season was more like a confirmation to me that action genres are super cool too. It's not the usual kind of action I don't like but it's a storyline that does pack a punch.
I'm not sure if I shared a review of the first season but if I didn't, it's probably because of the way it ended. And finally, the second season came with a satisfying end after a satisfying treat through out the scenes. Honestly, I wouldn't have mind waiting another season for this to continue.
"Weak Hero Class 2" is a follow up 2025 release to "Weak Hero Class 1" starring lead "Park Ji-hoon" alongside new characters Ryeoun, Lee Jun-young, Bae Na-ra, Lee Min-jae and Choi Min-yeong... What I'll call the "Powerful cast" of the second season for their role complexities.
The series kicks off from where we left off on the first season but with Si-eun (Park Ji-hoon) transferred to a new school and deciding to study quietly till he graduates but his plan took a great turn when he make friends with three other students who are tired of the injustice towards their school from a student union organization.
I actually felt my heart leap with joy when I saw this character (Baku) show up in the series, I don't know how I missed the notice beforehand but I'm glad I did. He literally lit up the whole storyline with his role from start to finish. I have a thing for characters that play dumb but are not.
He is like the guardian to the school that is being attacked by the union and he kept rejecting the offer to join the union for peace to reign, until a situation where he could no longer refuse anymore but that didn't last long before the big fight that even I couldn't wait to see how it ends.
I've never seen a movie or series with this character but I must give him kudos for the expressions, Na Baek-jin is not just a smart ass who keeps leading in his school's most intelligent student, he is also the head of a bad union that steals and sells stuffs for money. Honestly, even I can't help but praise how he played both roles.
His facial expression has to be given an award on it's own, it made me look forward to the next scene he will be on, I guess he won himself a fan hehe. His final fight with his once best friend, Baku was more tense than emotional as I had thought it would be. I hardly could root for Baku.
Another character I couldn't get enough of but I wished not to see him do more of what his role asked of him was, Geum Sung-je it was nice to see him go from the cute and handsome chaebol in "Dreaming of a freaking fairytale" to a psycho student who isn't even succumbed by his leader.
As if the writer knew what some of the viewers wanted, they gave him a scene to play the "cool and repentant" bad guy for our lead characters to have a headstart, it was so satisfying to see. I can't get the scene where he had a face off with Si-eun out of my head, his smiles before defeat.
And finally, the character Seo Jun-tae who played the role of the weakest among them but significant to making the whole story a great one to see, I didn't expect more as I've always thought he'd do great in roles like this since his role in "XO Kitty" and I don't mean in a negative way. His Korean made me forget he speaks English too.
The other supporting characters all did well to make the story keep me on my toes from start to finish, of course, bigger kudos to our lead character Si-eun for staying in character all the way, that's a real talent. I really want to say more about the series but I'm short on words to use.
Overall, it's a series you won't find any boring episode and you'll get to explore strength in different dimension, quite intriguing to see. I'll recommend to any action genre lover, let's skip the part that it is a school based action, it's still a nice action play. I'll give it a rating of 9.5/10.

9.5 rating means it's a masterpiece and I need to watch it for sure. It's rare to you give 9.5 rating.

Yeah, thanks for stopping by.
It looks pretty interesting, I've seen some clips and trailers on YouTube and I must say it's on my list of series to watch, I might not watch it right now but I definitely won't pass it up. I was already looking for something similar to Bloodhounds and I think this would be a very good choice.
Thanks for sharing your opinion, cheers!!!!! : )
It's definitely a good one after Bloodhounds, you'll have a nice time on this one.
