Business Proposal is a K-drama that has been around for a while, premiering in 2022, and according to my most recent research, the story is based on a web novel that later became a webtoon. To be honest, I didn't have that information before watching it, so I came to the story knowing nothing.

Synopsis

In the main story, we follow Tae-moo, grandson of the president of a major food chain in Korea, whose grandfather makes it a condition that he must marry in order to have full control of the family business.
On the other hand, we have Shin Ha-ri, an employee of this company and friend of the tycoon's daughter, who asks him to do her a favor and go on a blind date for her and ruin it completely. But it doesn't turn out as they expected, because Tae-moo becomes even more interested in Ha-ri, who is pretending to be her friend.

En la historia principal seguimos a Tae-moo, nieto del presidente de una cadena de alimentos importante en Corea, a quien su abuelo le pone como condición que, para tener el poder total del negocio familiar, debe casarse.
Por otro lado, tenemos a Shin Ha-ri empleada de esta compañía y amiga de la hija de un magnate, que le pide de favor que asista a una cita a ciegas por ella y la arruine por completo. Pero no sale como esperaban, porque Tae-moo se interesa aún más en Ha-ri, quien está fingiendo ser su amiga.

But that's not all. Ha-ri's friend, who kept turning down the blind dates her father arranged for her, ends up interested in Tae-moo's secretary and best friend. What started as chance encounters for them turns into a relationship with unique chemistry.
While the main couple is an unexpected spark fighting against secrets and contracts, the secondary couple is more spontaneous and warm. Both stories balance comedy, tenderness, and emotion.

Pero eso no queda ahí. La amiga de Ha-ri, que seguía rechazando las citas a ciegas que le arreglaba su padre, termina interesada en el secretario y mejor amigo de Tae-moo. Lo que para ellos empezó como encuentros accidentales se va transformando en una relación con una química única. Mientras la pareja principal es una chispa inesperada que lucha contra secretos y contratos, la pareja secundaria es más espontánea y cálida. Ambas historias equilibran la comedia, la ternura y la emoción.

Why should you watch it?

• The chemistry between these couples is crazy. I loved how they connected and how that chemistry carried over into the series, because even in interviews it was really nice to see their interaction.

• The comedy comes through in some super absurd scenes; I think everyone who watched it remembers those funny moments that make you smile.

• If you think 16-episode K-dramas are too long, this one is perfect for giving the genre a try: only 12 episodes and a light plot that won't overwhelm you.

If you're a fan of rom-coms and K-dramas, this one won't disappoint.

• La química en esas parejas es una locura. Me encantó cómo conectaron y cómo esa química traspasó la serie, porque hasta en las entrevistas era muy lindo ver su interacción.
• La comedia se hace presente con escenas súper absurdas; creo que todos los que la vieron recuerdan esos momentos tan chistosos y divertidos que te sacan una sonrisa.
• Si te parece que los K-dramas de 16 capítulos son muy largos, este es perfecto para darle una oportunidad al género: solo 12 episodios y una trama ligera que no te va a abrumar.
