¡Hola amigos! Hoy me paso por acá para hablarles un poco acerca de la segunda temporada de la serie que tiene como protagonistas a Negan y Maggie, The Walking Dead: Dead City.

Trama - Plot

En esta segunda temporada Negan debe permanecer en Manhattan porque quedó en medio de la lucha de diferentes líderes que se quieren hacer con la ciudad. Él está con el Croata y La Dama, pero hay otros líderes que buscan hacerse con el metano, un combustible, para tener el poder absoluto. Del otro lado, Maggie vuelve con Hershel y la niña que estaba con Negan a casa, pero son atacados por la gente de Nueva Babilonia y ahora deberá regresar a Manhattan para terminar lo que empezó e intentar recomponer la relación con su hijo que volvió cambiado y distante tras el secuestro por parte de La Dama.

In this second season, Negan must remain in Manhattan because he is caught in the middle of a struggle between different leaders who want to take over the city. He is with the Croatian and the Lady, but there are other leaders who want to get their hands on methane, a fuel, to gain absolute power. On the other side, Maggie returns home with Hershel and the girl who was with Negan, but they are attacked by the people of New Babylon and now she must return to Manhattan to finish what she started and try to repair her relationship with her son, who has returned changed and distant after being kidnapped by The Lady.

Una segunda temporada que no me agrado tanto como la primera, me pareció más de lo mismo. Sin mucha emoción, ni villanos dignos de mención. No conecté mucho y me costó mirarla, de hecho, la empecé y abandoné para ver otras cosas en el medio, hasta que la pude terminar, creo que esto dice mucho.

I didn't enjoy the second season as much as the first; it seemed like more of the same to me. There wasn't much excitement, nor any villains worth mentioning. I didn't connect with it very much and found it difficult to watch. In fact, I started it and then abandoned it to watch other things in between, until I was able to finish it. I think that says a lot.

Lo que menos me gusta de la serie es el hijo de Maggie, le tengo una bronca. En serio, me cae muy mal el pendejo, suelo fantasear con que se lo carguen y nos manden a Glenn de nuevo en su lugar. A veces puedo ser mala. No simpatice con ninguno de los personajes, Negan me pareció que casi vuelve a ser el de antes, pero ya está muy blandito para eso, no le sale lo de ser malo ahora. Si tiene motivos sí, el tipo se carga al que sea, pero con las personas que aprecia es un pancito.

What I like least about the series is Maggie's son. I really dislike him. Seriously, I can't stand the little jerk. I often fantasize about him getting killed off and Glenn coming back in his place. Sometimes I can be mean. I don't like any of the characters. I thought Negan was almost back to his old self, but he's too soft for that now. He can't be bad anymore. If he has a reason, yes, the guy will kill anyone, but with the people he cares about, he's a softie.

La trama de Hershel y La Dama casi que no la entiendo, cómo vas a elegir a una persona que apenas conoces en lugar de a tu madre que es capaz de dar la vida por vos, lo odio. Me parece perfecto que se quede con ella, son tal para cual, dos dementes. Ella logro manipularlo de una manera impresionante, pero lo peor de todo es que él no es consciente de que la pone en peligro todo el tiempo.

I don't really understand the Hershel and La Dama storyline. How can you choose someone you barely know over your mother, who is willing to give her life for you? I hate it. I think it's perfect that he stays with her. They're two of a kind, two lunatics. She managed to manipulate him in an impressive way, but the worst part is that he's not aware that he's putting her in danger all the time.

La trama de Nueva Babilonia no sé qué onda, dejo la puerta abierta para una nueva temporada que seguro estaré mirando a mi ritmo, quizá repunte, o no. Pero bueno, una vez que empiezo algo debo terminarlo. En ese sentido me resulta más entretenida la serie de Daryl Dixon, aunque todavía no vi la última temporada. Se las debo.

I'm not sure what's going on with the plot of New Babylon, but I'm leaving the door open for a new season, which I'll definitely be watching at my own pace. Maybe it will pick up, or maybe not. But anyway, once I start something, I have to finish it. In that sense, I find the Daryl Dixon series more entertaining, although I haven't seen the latest season yet. I owe you guys that.

Por lo pronto, les digo que si les gustan los zombies y este universo deberían darle una oportunidad a estos spin off, quizá les guste. A mí en lo personal, me produce nostalgia, pero me siento desconectada de esta trama entre Maggie y Negan que no sé hasta dónde quieren llegar. En fin.

For now, I'll just say that if you like zombies and this universe, you should give these spin-offs a chance. You might like them. Personally, it makes me feel nostalgic, but I feel disconnected from this storyline between Maggie and Negan, and I don't know where they're going with it. Oh well.
