A nature toilet and a London meet up

It's been a long time since I've done a loo loo post. Thanks to a little London meetup with @steevc and @adetorrent yesterday, I found the perfect opportunity. More on that in a minute, let's look at the loos first. I was warned by @adetorrent that the men's loo was very special and he was interested to know if the ladies were the same. Intriguing... I was looking forward to see what was in store.

Wow! Dramatic, eccentric, Victorian, maximalism were the first things that came to mind. The brass peacock and real feather decor opposite the door was so exquisite and caught my eye as I entered. I had always wanted a bowl style basin, and a chest of library catalogue style drawers at home, but not necessarily in the same room. Here, everything seem to clash with each other, yet they look so content and perfect together.

More surprises on the doors of the six cubicles opposite the wash basin. Each one was adorned with items from nature. Shells, insect , feather, plants etc. Someone had been busy collecting specimen.
1000045308.jpg

1000045313.jpg

I randomly choose a cubicle, it was the plant one. There were many different types of plants here, and different parts of the plants - leaves, flower, stalk etc. A lot of effort was made to catalogue them for display. If you needed to spend a bit more time in here, you definitely wouldn't be bored, loads to look at.
1000045312.jpg
1000045311.jpg

Afterwards more people came into the toilet and I couldn't take a more detailed look at the displays. The feathers one looked very interesting and I would have loved to mooch around more.
1000045310.jpg

And before I left, I couldn't resist taking another photo of the butterfly cubicle. It's so beautiful.
1000045314.jpg

I went back to show the guys my find, but apparently the gents loo are totally different. "Adult" and "lewd" are how @adetorrent describe it. You can check out his post here and if you look carefully you might find a little bit of the gent's loo.

Meetup

I mentioned earlier one, I met up with @adetorrent and @steevc. It was in a eclectic Victorian themed pub in London
1000045315.jpg

I have met Steve before but not Ade, though of course I know him on chain. It was very nice to learn more about the guys, and I had a great evening chatting to them. I hope we can do these meetups more often.

I didn't get to experience the gents there. I did use the ones at the station, but those were far less interesting. At least you did not have to pay as you do in some stations. The bar had fun decor anyway.

It was great to see you again. I have met Ade quite a few times. We need to do more UK meetups around the country so everyone has a chance to meet other Hivers.

I look forward to hearing about your pending travels.

My Loo Loo community isn't very active, but I think it's an interesting topic and should be less taboo.

And hope to meet you sometime in the future

I noticed the loos at many train stations are free to use nowadays. Personally I don't mind paying a small amount to use the public loo if they're kept nice and clean. Some are so dirty and disgusting.

Anyway, I hope we can do another meet up somewhere in UK in the future

I've been caught out before when I needed a loo and the station ones were locked up for the night. That is not great. In this case I was glad it was free as I had no change on me.

A women's toilet like in a natural history museum 😃

Last weekend I was in a pastry shop in Szeged, when my partner told me that in the women's toilet there is a mechanism that automatically places protective hygiene paper over the board.
When I was in the men's room to wash my hands, I peeked into the cubicle. There was no such thing in the men's.
If it hadn't been very crowded and there were a lot of women among the guests, I might have sneaked into the women's toilet to look at that mechanism 😅

Now you, with the pictures from this women's toilet, give me an additional incentive to "accidentally" miss the door the next time I hear that the women's toilet is interesting 😀

Toilets can be an interesting place. When people, or restaurants or the place owner put a lot of thought in the decor, you know they care about the place

Indeed. My favorite restaurants to visit are those with neat and clean toilets. in addition to hygiene, they have the friendliest staff and the tastiest food.

What an amazing enterier. 🥰😍 I would love to spend hours in that toilet, like I am not doing it now in my simple one 😅😆

Hi to all of you from the group. I am sure it was fun yesterday at the meetup. 🤗

I know some mothers deliberately spend a lot of time in the toilet because that's the only place they can get some peace and quiet away from their kids 😄

There seems to be quite a lot of people from Serbia recently. When I spoke to @bil.prag earlier this year, he said he wasn't aware of many. Maybe you guys can arrange a Serbian meet up soon

Who would thought a bathroom could look that nice? 😍

At first I thought there were just a few of us. It would be great. 😍 Although, I recently heard a story about a group of people who joined through some guy who keeps all their keys and only pays them a portion of what they earn. I tried not to get too deep into it, but I genuinely feel bad for those profiles, they had great blogs.

That is a toilet that you will never leave if you bring a macro lens with you 😂😂

Congratulations !!

Did you know that @stresskiller is also a witness now ?

That toilet is absolutely incredible! Much better than the men's haha. I feel like going back there just to take photos of the men's loo now. 😂

It's odd how the theme is so different between the gents and ladies

If you ever go back again, please do post, would love to see inside the gents 😆

Wow!!! I've never seen a toilet like this one! Very maximalist, victorian and really interesting to "visit" . 😃 Happy to know you met @steevc , he's really an awesome person (I met him years ago in Lisbona). 🌸🌸🌸

It's not a theme you'd normally see inside a toilet, kinda random and yes, very interesting.

Steve is a great guy, very passionate about many things in life and Hive, always a great person to have at your dinner table

(Edited)

since we are talking toilets, I will leave this one here! One of the best thing from the recent trip to Japan!

Japan does some awesome toilets, they have functions that you haven't even thought about.

It took me a while to try them out, and it once I did, it was great 🤭.

It's so bad that you're the only one talking about toilets. I haven't seen any eccentric toilets lately, but if I see an interesting one, I'll definitely leave it in the comments below this post.

It's a topic that everyone can contribute to, but I think many people are still a bit shy to talk about.

Woahhh!! 😳
For a loo loo, that place is like a palace! A classy palace, hehe.

It won’t be boring at all staying in there longer.

Do you have any idea why they used plants and flowers as decor inside the loo loo? I’m guessing for scent but maybe there is another reason.

I’m sure you guys had a great time! Good to see you finally went for a meet up (first I’m seeing!), @adetorrent. 🤭

That's a good question, I have no idea why they used plants and flowers as a decor. It's not like the focus is on aesthetic, but more like a scientific based display. Either it was very interesting

It is just a really unique and beautiful idea for a loo loo decor. 😇

What a luxurious bathroom, better than most homes in the world.

These pictures remind me of a course where I made several display cases with insects.

That's sounds like an interesting course. Are you interested insects or was it a course about making items for display?

Is that a loo, or a museum? I didn't expect that at all! Especially butterflies and insects at the loo doors?!

Happy to see that you had fun with those two guys! I think Ade was one of the first people I bumped into on the "legacy chain"... Hopefully, I will meet him at some of the next meetups!

Greetings from Krakow! We miss you here, and I hope you didn't hiccup a lot as we mentioned you a couple of times... 😀

I told Ade about Hivebeecon, apparently he was nearby last week!

Those are TOILETS? Wow... those toilets might be worth more than the house I live in 😅 Super weird for me, but definitely a unique style - maximalism is definitely the right word.

I wish I could meet other Hivers here. But besides the ones I got on board, I'm not sure when. Hopefully Meno in the near future, a trip to the coast is always a good idea. The only one I met was the sister of a fellow Splinterlands-player that lives in Quito. But Galen invited me for a BBQ, so maybe... 😅

I got an invite to Galen's BBQ as well, but it might take me a while to get there 😉

I hope you'll get to meet others soon, you never know, you may find there are other Ecuadorians on Hive!

I'll just make my own hive, with blackjack and whores. On second thought, forget the blackjack.

Still my favorite quote, after like 20 years of streaming that episode. Always applicable. But that's the idea, getting enough people on the chain to have a local community. Worked well with @stacyloesch, who already started commenting and write himself. Hopefully more and more...

I make one big post soon I think I need to do a few more parts first

The thing is I've been called a spammer and all sorts of things but words mean nothing 😂😂😂😂

Especially when they are coming from scammers farmers downvoting racist people 😂😂😂😂

It's still so hard to believe that blocktrades is behind buildawhale usainvote and other accounts that are actively destroying Hive 😂 😂

Hive has the tech but not the brain's at the top

It's crazy that acidyo tells people about selfvoting whilst selfvoting his shit projects 💩 everyday 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Themarkymark is running the buildawhale comment farm for his master Blocktrades 😂 😂 😂

It's so funny how themarkymark account has a free pass the same as acidyo 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Good company is always a pleasure, and when it's combined with a bathroom featuring such...unique decor, the experience is doubly rewarding. It's like a nature walk in there, I'd say it has more species on display than the Museum of Natural Sciences in Cuba 🤣. I wouldn't mind spending some quality time in one of its cubicles 🤭. Un abrazo 🤗.
