Your child doesn't necessarily need a higher education, what they truly need is higher knowledge. Unfortunately, the world's educational system doesn't support this goal. The system has become an exhausting cycle of consuming theoretical work, and the relevance of much of it to real-life situations is questionable—especially when practical classes are held with poorly functioning laboratory equipment.

If you can afford to send your children to a private university, that's good, so your children can't relate to this experience.

This message is not meant to push the "School is a waste of time" ideology, but rather to shed light on some misconceptions we often hold.

I understand the desire to be called “Mummy Engineer” or “Daddy Lawyer,” but is that what your child truly wants? Does your child have the mental capability and doggedness to excel in those fields? For instance, if your child has an innate hatred for Numerical and Complex subjects, why are you still insisting he or she become an engineer? Why Daddy?

Every child has unique strengths, skills, talents, and capabilities. Instead of solely pursuing degrees, we should consider alternative paths that align with their passions and talents. Some children may thrive in vocational training, start their own businesses, or attend technical schools. Others might excel in fields that don’t require a traditional degree. It’s time to move away from the "go to school, get a job" mentality, which has continued the procession of the cycles of poverty.

The reality is, while the system produces thousands of graduates each year, employment opportunities are scanty. It's important to recognize your child's skills and support them in harnessing them instead of following to a one-size-fits-all approach.

Tu hijo no necesariamente necesita una educación superior, lo que realmente necesita es conocimiento superior. Desafortunadamente, el sistema educativo del mundo no apoya este objetivo. El sistema se ha convertido en un ciclo agotador de consumo de trabajo teórico, y la relevancia de gran parte de él para situaciones de la vida real es cuestionable—especialmente cuando las clases prácticas se llevan a cabo con equipos de laboratorio mal funcionando. Cada niño tiene fortalezas, habilidades, talentos y capacidades únicas. En lugar de perseguir solo títulos, debemos considerar caminos alternativos que se alineen con sus pasiones y talentos. Algunos niños pueden prosperar en la formación vocacional, iniciar sus propios negocios o asistir a escuelas técnicas. Otros pueden sobresalir en campos que no requieren un título tradicional.

Es hora de alejarnos de la mentalidad de "ir a la escuela, conseguir un trabajo", que ha perpetuado la procesión de los ciclos de pobreza. La realidad es que, aunque el sistema produce miles de graduados cada año, las oportunidades de empleo son escasas. Es importante reconocer las habilidades de tus hijos y apoyarlos para que las aprovechen en lugar de seguir un enfoque único para todos.
