Celebrating the Sacrifices of the Women Around the World—Our Simple Date yet Joyous moments

Hello mothers and fathers out here in the community, how are you? Hope you're happy especially the mothers who celebrated this special day. Today, mothers are celebrating their sacrifices made for their young ones. I'm happy to share with you my simple celebration of this wonderful day but first let me share to you my experience before I became a mother. I used to be carefree like there's no one I have to worry about except for myself, I can do and go wherever I want without feeling distress. All I need to do is make my parents proud which is by completing my bachelor's degree but I failed them, only one semester left in order for me to graduate in the program that I chose but I got pregnant unexpectedly.

However, when I had my son he made me feel complete and giving me the sense of belonging. It made me protective of him, I don't even let mosquitos to be near of him but there are times that I miss my life before this and I felt guilty for feeling that way. I felt horrible, I know I'm not perfect but I'll do my best to become a good mom with the help of my partner. I am thankful because of my son I felt mix emotions. My son is only 2 months old, sleepless nights are common but it is only temporary, I can only enjoy and cherish those moments that he will wake me up through his cries in the middle of the night because I know that he will grow fast.

To celebrate the mother's day, my partner and I decided to have a little date near our place. It's a busy street and we only eat snacks. This place is good, we can have a break and breathe fresh air since the seawater is just near thus, the air is seemingly fresh—it helps us to start and make our night productive. We chitchat and talked about our future which gives us a clear goal on what steps we should take next. Whenever we go out together with our little one, he seems to enjoy riding a motorcycle and he is very wide awake and we appreciate and like to capture those moments.

Hello @eusell It has been good reading your stories since your day 1 at Hive. It's good to see you here at Motherhood Community. I admire your courage as a young, first time mom. I remember when I gave birth to my son, I was 29 years old but I was really anxious whether I was doing the right thing in caring for my son or not. Since my mother was away during that time, it was funny how I resorted to googling things out especially when I was not sure of what to do for some problems I encountered in newborn care. But I think I passed that stage with flying colors 😂 seeing my son growing well, healthy, and bright. Motherhood is both challenging and rewarding, but the sacrifices are nothing compared with the joy we find in seeing our kids grow well. Cherish every moment as a mother. 💖

Happy Mother's Day! 💞💝💕
