The city of Malko Tarnovo in September

Malko Tarnovo is a small Bulgarian town in the Strandzha Mountain, located very close to the border between Bulgaria and Turkey.

My friends and I visited it recently and although I have been here before, I managed to discover new places, so interesting and so authentic, and I will show you many of them today.

First we walked around the city center to see the Big Vris - a spring from which water flows and which in the past played an important role in the creation and development of the city.

The Big Vris is a symbol of Malko Tarnovo and one of the legends about it tells that if a young man from a foreign village drinks water from the Big Vris, he will marry a girl from Malko Tarnovo.

The yard of the Stamat Ikonomov Ethnographic Museum was open and we could go in and take a closer look at the preserved old house and look at the other objects in the yard - barrels, a wooden cart, and clay jars.

Just a few meters from the Information Center, you can see an interesting sundial sculpture made in 2013 by Dobrin Vatev.

The church caught my attention and reminded me of one in Caracas, Venezuela, which is shaped like a ship or rocket.
