Eiger: Grindelwald First Cliff Walk
Read the first part here and continuing...
Buckle up!
After visiting the lakes of Interlaken, we went to the top of the mountain in Grindelwald, where we faced the First Cliff Walk, a walkway with panoramic views of the famous Eiger mountain.
Interlaken is 570 meters above sea level between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz overlooking the mountains of the Swiss Alps, including the famous triad of Jungfrau, Eiger and Mönch.
Our next stop was Grindelwald, where we went to do the First Cliff Walk which is a suspended walkway with incredible views of the famous Eiger Mountain.
We took the cable car up to the top of the mountain to see the view of the mountains! Impressive.
I was fascinated by that landscape and, of course, I took several pictures there.
and to go down? In addition to being able to go down by cable car, they also give you some options and as I didn't remember all of them, I went to the grindelwald website to search for:
Can you imagine walking on a suspended walkway with incredible panoramic views? This is the First Cliff Walk!
If you want more excitement, there's the First Flieger, a zipline flight.
For those who prefer cars, there is the First Mountain Cart, going down the mountain in carts. (This one looked like a lot of fun. Several people drove the mountains in these carts making sinister turns 🤟🏼)
And if you want to take a ride around the region, you can use a Trottibike, an off-road scooter
These attractions are popular in summer and during winter the attractions are changed.

As our budget was already in the red, we decided to do just one. The bright side is when I return, I will have other news.
I took that I brought some souvenirs from there including a map. I enjoy collecting maps too.
Walks, photos, and enjoying that peaceful vibe enjoying an incredible view of the majesty of the mountains.
Peace except when the Air Force fighters passed by reminding us of the outside world...
Reviewing these photos gives me a lot of nostalgia and I'm at a loss for words to describe this day. I tried my best to register with my photos. Hope you like it.
And the sunset at the Gschletterkurve viewpoint where we made one last stop... it was sensational.
Several people passed by on bikes and motorhomes on the roads and that was cool to see. We still don't see many in Brazil and I believe it's because of the safety factor. I felt very safe on this part of the trip.
I confess that in the early days, I still had big city thoughts and distrust of everything.
It was an amazing day getting to know a very small and very special piece of Switzerland. We were super grateful to have had the chance to visit this divine place.
It only gets better!
Everything is worth every second! From the roads with their endless tunnels to the surreal landscapes of the city and mountains, the climb through the Alps, and the starry sky. Unforgettable for sure.

primeira parte e continuando...
Buckle up!
Isso é o First Cliff Walk!
