Neulop Reservoir // A quiet place with stunning natural views

Good afternoon to all my beloved hive friends ♥️

For some people, visiting a quiet and peaceful place can sometimes provide peace and happiness, as well as me. I am a very selective person when I want to travel, I travel depending on my intentions and feelings, when I feel happy then I will travel and visit popular places and visited by many people, but it is different when I am sad or stressed, then I will choose to travel to a quiet place and rich in natural beauty, because with a calm atmosphere and accompanied by beautiful scenery, I will definitely feel better and more peaceful.

Bireuen City is also one of the cities in Aceh that has a lot of tourist attractions, and 70% of them are beach tourism, considering that Bireuen City is not far from the beach. However, in this city I can still find many quiet and peaceful tourist attractions, for example the Neulop reservoir, an old tourist attraction that has now been transformed into a park.

I no longer remember when I visited this place, but every incident that I experienced there is still neatly stored in my memory, and because the place is quite spacious, I was able to capture the various natural beauties offered by this place.

When we visit this reservoir, we will definitely see or find this long small bridge. This is a connecting bridge between villages, but it is very unfortunate because of its small size, this bridge cannot be crossed by cars because it does not fit, and this bridge can only be crossed by motorbikes.

And besides being a bridge connecting villages, under this bridge there is also a dam that holds water from the Neulop reservoir, so this dam has two functions, first as a dam and second as a bridge that can be crossed by residents.

After we cross this bridge, we will immediately be able to see the remains of the former hut on the right side of the road.

These are the remaining huts of this place, previously I could not imagine how crowded the atmosphere in this place was, even almost every day this place would be crowded with visitors, but now this place is completely abandoned, but fortunately there are some residents who still maintain these huts and now it is a resting place for anglers in the Neulop reservoir.

Of course, the view that we can see from the top of this hut is a beautiful view of the reservoir itself, up to several mountains behind it, and we can also see the charm of the sunset behind the mountains, of course this is a beautiful and rare view.

And if we look to the left, we will see a rest building and a road covered in green grass.

In order to capture the beauty of this reservoir, I decided to get off the motorbike and walk to the corner of the reservoir to take pictures.

From this angle of course I can see a wider expanse of the reservoir, even the mountains that are very far away can still be seen in some of the pictures that I managed to take.

I feel a little sad about the condition of this one tourist spot, why can a place as beautiful as this become an abandoned place, I feel this is a question that I still keep to myself until now, I have not asked anyone because I am worried that there are some secret factors that make a tourist spot as beautiful as this become abandoned, but that is just my opinion.

However, the good thing is that now this place has been transformed into a very calm and peaceful park, so it is very suitable to visit to relieve fatigue and stress, plus the natural atmosphere in this place is still very thick so that the natural aroma is still very pronounced.

And after being satisfied enjoying the natural beauty offered by this place, I immediately walked back to my motorbike, and I immediately started the motorbike and planned to make the journey home considering that it was already getting late in the afternoon.

On my way home, I accidentally looked to the right, and I was immediately amazed by the beauty offered by the reservoir dam, so I decided to approach the dam first.

Wow, this view makes me want to walk closer, but in front of me there is an irrigation channel blocking it, so if I want to get closer to this dam, then I have to turn back towards the bridge again, because that is the only way to get closer to the dam.

I know that road because from a distance I saw several people also crossing the road on the edge of the bridge to go down to the dam, but because it was far away, I decided not to approach it anymore, and just enjoyed its beauty from a distance.

After capturing the beauty of the dam, I started my motorbike again, but before I really went home, I took the opportunity to photograph the scenery at the end of the Neulop reservoir area first.

Previously, there was a fence here that marked the area of ​​this reservoir, but now the fence is no longer visible at all, all that is visible is a stretch of green grass and a single road, perhaps everything has changed in this place except the memories.
