Ermelo's memory route - Portugal

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well 😊 Today I am going to show you a little bit about the small village I visited. My boyfriend and I spent a week in Celorico de Bastos, a great place to relax. I told my boyfriend that I wanted a quiet place with lots of nature. But of course we wanted to get to know Celorico a little bit more and we went to a tourist shop where they recommended a route since there is not much to see in Celorico de Bastos. The route they gave us would have only taken us 2 hours 🤣

When I got there, the houses were really eye-catching because they were all made of slate. Some of the houses were a bit run down, which is a shame because it's a tourist attraction and I don't think they should let some of the houses stay in that state because they attract a lot of people. We went in the morning, it was a wonderful sunny day and we were able to make the most of the day 😘

The memory route is a walk of just 30 minutes, walk slowly and enjoy the village. I started the route in the center of the village and finished in the same place. For those who want to do the route, just follow some wooden signs that indicate the route all along the way.

In the north of Portugal there are some schist villages and I have been to some of them, my favorite was without a doubt Penafiel which I have already shared here some time ago. What I like most about these villages is without a doubt the roofs, some with moss. The people in that village were very friendly, everyone we passed asked if they would like to taste it

But there is definitely something in the schist village that Penafiel does not have: the landscape. The landscape along the Ermelo route is incredible, full of mountains, greenery and the river, a wonderful landscape 😊 breathing the fresh air is so good, it seems to recharge your batteries 😊 being able to hear the sound of falling water later I realized that they were the famous Ermelo slings, but I ended up not visiting them, when we learned we no longer had time to go back there, but one day we will definitely go back 😊

There were a lot of information signs but I confess that I was distracted by the many animals that appeared to me, there were a lot of animals there but the dwarf goats were the cutest I saw, I would have stayed there all afternoon watching them and feeding them 🤣

The route is not very long, but I think there should be some benches so people can sit and recharge their batteries 🤣 for those who are not used to it, it is a bit difficult 🤣 but it is always worth it 😊

In that village you can see the contrast between the old and the well-kept. I take photographs and I love them, but some places can only be seen with the eyes, with the body it is incredible.

The man at the tourist shop had told us to stay there and watch the sunset, which is incredible, but we decided to go in the morning so we didn't see it, but a lady who lives there said that the sunset is beautiful to watch there and I really wanted to go there, but we'll definitely go back 😊

I hope you enjoyed it, see you soon friends 😃

Caminhe devagar e aproveite a vila.

A paisagem é simplesmente entrançada!
