exploring the tsunami museum in Sigli city, a historical place in Aceh

Good evening communication friends, how are you? I hope you are always healthy wherever you are.❤️

Hi friends, tonight I'm back again to tell you about a historical place in Aceh, namely the Tsunami Museum. The incident occurred in 2004, precisely on December 26th.
This is my first visit to this place. Previously, I had never visited this museum which occurred 21 years ago.
I made this trip a few days ago with my friend. When looking for a tourist spot that we visited in the city of Sigli, suddenly my eyes saw a map that said Tsunami Museum. The place was not far from where we were at that time.

I immediately searched for it on Google Maps on my cellphone. Initially, we had passed this museum but I didn't see it at all. We got lost in the village when we saw the road and location of the museum via Google Map.

Finally, we decided to ask people who were sitting on the side of the village road. After chatting with local residents, we were given directions. It turned out that this museum was very close to the Alun-alun Kota Sigli intersection. We laughed at our negligence when traveling to find this place. Long story short, we arrived in front of this museum. Before I went inside, I wanted to enjoy the atmosphere first.

In front of the Tsunami Museum, I saw people walking back and forth at the town square intersection.

After being satisfied enjoying the atmosphere in front of this place, I decided to enter the museum area. I was surprised to see a miniature gold globe with a black background that was written with verses of the Quran and was gold in color. It made my eyes stunned to see the beauty inside the museum when I was in front of the place.

Previously, I had the chance to witness the beauty of the small park in front of this museum. This park is one of the sights when passing through this place, because the presence of the park in front of this museum makes people interested in coming to this museum.

in the end i feel very happy to have managed to visit the historical place about tsunami in aceh because i did not feel the very terrible event at that time i was not born.
honestly i am very sad about the incident. thousands of millions of people died during the incident.

In the area outside the museum, there is also a prayer room with quite interesting architecture. Although I have never been inside, at first glance I am sure that this prayer room also has a very beautiful interior design. This prayer room is very simple, not too small and not too big, what an extraordinary design, my friends.

I spent about 35 minutes here watching the beauty of the museum despite the suffering of the people in the past. It touched my heart no matter what happens we cannot avoid the painful events that have happened.

I saw the mini golden ball up close,
how is the shape and design of this ball because my curiosity was very great, I approached and read the verses of the Quran and the meanings that have been translated under the verses.

I saw a door next to the globe area. I was very curious about what was inside. I immediately went inside. It turned out that the walls were engraved with the names of tsunami victims in several areas in Aceh. The names scattered throughout the walls of the museum hallway made the hair on the back of my neck stand up, remembering the many victims who fell during the 2004 Aceh Tsunami disaster.

in the hallway there is also a public toilet in it I saw someone waiting for his friend in the toilet.
I am very happy to be in this museum because this is indeed a must-visit place when in the city of Sigli, Pidie Regency.
This is because the location of the museum is directly adjacent to the highway, plus the many PKL (street vendors) who sell along the road around the museum location.
Beside this museum we can also rest I saw many people with their families. who are relaxing maybe they are visitors from outside who bring their children to play in the rainbow park in front of it.

the atmosphere in this museum really makes tourists very happy because with memories and peace when seeing people passing by on the streets of the city is a very extraordinary thing.

after being very satisfied exploring this tsunami museum I saw the clock showing 5 pm I immediately called my friend who was taking pictures at this museum to invite me to go home. we immediately made the trip home.

Okay friends, those are some stories and some pictures from the tsunami museum located in the city of Sigli. Hopefully my friends here like and are entertained by my work tonight. I @mzammil apologize if there are any mistakes in telling about this museum in my new post. you are all very extraordinary.

I do remember those images from the Tsunami , and after that we got another Tsunami in Japan .
makes you wonder where the next one will be .

It's good to see that the area has been rebuilded again and people move on .

This is such a touching and informative post. I can feel your emotions while reading about your visit to the Tsunami Museum. It’s both heartbreaking and inspiring — heartbreaking because of the lives lost, but inspiring because the people of Aceh continue to honor the memories and rebuild with strength. Thank you for sharing your experience, especially the details about the golden globe and the names on the wall — it gave me chills. This is truly a place worth visiting. 🙏🌊✨
