Happy weekend, amazing people!
Can you feel the cool breeze of the season? It's the 16th of December, Philippine time, and I woke up freezing. Wasn't it just summer a little while ago? Time flies!
So anyway, I thought I'd share our recent family adventure up north, where pretty beaches, gorgeous pebbles, and corals can be found. Without further ado, let me take you on a journey to Luna Beach in La Union, where our family had the most incredible staycation just recently. We were craving an escape from the usual daily routine, and Luna Beach turned out to be the perfect destination for our family getaway. We live close to the beach, by the way, the surfing capital but our place is getting more and more touristy here every day. We were looking for a more quiet and laid-back atmosphere.
We arrived in Luna just before noon and we found a small hotel by the beach, but unfortunately, one of the amenities was not available and we weren't given a discount, so we walked around and found the perfect one. It is a newly built resort with a few transient houses. We rented one with two bedrooms. The place is awesome, the management was incredible, it is close to the beach and we were the only guests at that time. Lucky!
From the moment we arrived, Luna Beach captivated us with its unique and breathtaking landscape. Unlike the typical sandy beach, Luna boasts stunning corals and pebbles that give it a distinctive charm. The clear blue water called out to us, and without hesitation, we jumped right in. I mean, my husband first, lol. Since we haven't had breakfast yet, we asked the resort management if they could prepare us some simple meals, and we were not disappointed. Going back to the beach, we jumped back in and my husband and our daughter couldn't get enough of the water. They spent hours splashing around, their laughter echoing across the beach. The temperature was just right, making it an ideal spot for both fun and relaxation. I was there, enjoying taking photos of them at one of the cottages. It was still a little hot for me to be staying long in the sun.
Now, let's talk about the pretty cottages that lined the beach. These charming cottages were strategically placed along the shoreline, offering breathtaking views of the sea. They are made up of nipa and bamboo, which give them a hip-hop vibe. We were lucky enough to snag one of these cottages for our stay, and it was free! Just sitting there to the sound of crashing small waves and the gentle sea breeze was pure bliss.
But let me tell you, the real showstopper was the beach sunset. As the sun began its descent, the sky transformed into a mesmerizing canvas of vibrant hues of orange. It was like stepping into a postcard. We sat on the beach, watching the sun until it set. Photos are here, and videos are there. I just couldn't get enough of it. It was so beautiful, beyond words. That sunset, forever etched in our memories, was a sight we will never forget. And oh, the seascape! It was absolutely to die for. The combination of the crystal-clear water, the unique coral formations, and the picturesque cottages created a scene straight out of paradise. We couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for being able to experience such natural beauty.
Our time at Luna Beach was more than just a beach trip; it was an opportunity for our family to bond and create lasting memories. My husband was just on vacation at that time and had only a week left before he went back to the US. We laughed, we played, and we simply enjoyed being in each other's company. Luna Beach provided the perfect backdrop for these precious moments. As we reflect on our unforgettable adventure, we can't help but plan our return to Luna Beach. We're already counting down the days until we can experience its magic all over again. The beauty, the tranquility, and the joy we found at Luna Beach are simply unmatched.
So, if you're looking for a family-friendly destination that offers stunning landscapes, incredible sunsets, and a chance to reconnect with your loved ones, Luna Beach in La Union is the place to be. Trust me, you won't regret it! Start packing your bags and get ready for a truly unforgettable experience. I hope this little glimpse into our trip has inspired you to embark on your own beach getaway soon. Until then, keep dreaming of sunny shores and the sound of crashing waves. Happy travels!
