I hope you are well. With the weather becoming milder, I feel much better. It's neither too hot nor too cold. It's a wonderful opportunity to go out and about. Especially to enjoy Istanbul, these times are very precious. After the scorching heat of summer and the cold of winter, it's more enjoyable to go out in the cooler weather.

Umarım iyisinizdir. Havaların daha ılımlı olmasıyla birlikte ben daha iyi oldum. Ne çok sıcak ne soğuk. Gezmek için çok güzel fırsat. Hele ki İstanbul'un tadını çıkarmak için bu zamanlar çok değerli. Yazın yakıcı sıcağından, kışın soğuğundan sonra serin havalarda gezmek daha keyif verici.

We continue to explore Istanbul. Last week, we decided to go to the Princes' Islands. From what I've heard from people who've been there, it's a very beautiful place. It has remained in people's memories as a place that inspires admiration. I was already curious about it, and after hearing the positive comments from those who had been there, I wanted to go even more.
We looked at the ferry schedules to go to the Princes' Islands. We planned to visit two of the four islands this time and the other two when we had another opportunity. The ferry departed from the Kadıköy pier. After a 40-minute bus ride from our home, we reached Kadıköy. According to the timetable online, it was supposed to depart half an hour after we arrived. However, the doors were closed and the ferry departure times had changed. It didn't go as planned. Because the ferry departed late, we had less time. So we decided to visit just one island. We wanted it to be more enjoyable. We spent two hours on the Kadıköy shore. When it was time, we boarded the ferry.

İstanbul'u keşfetmeye devam ediyoruz. Geçen hafta ise Adalara gitmeye karar verdik. Giden insanlardan duyduğuma göre çok güzel bir yer . Hafızalarda hep hayranlık uyandıran bir yer olarak kalmış. Ben daha önceden merak ediyordum gidenlerin güzel yorumlarından sonra daha çok gitmek istedim.
Adalara gitmek için vapur seferlerine baktık. 4 ada içinde ikisini bu gittiğimizde diğer ikisini ise başka müsait olduğumuzda gideriz diyerek plan yaptık. Vapur Kadıköy iskelesinden kalkıyordu. Evimizden otobüsle 40 dakika gittikten sonra Kadıköy'e ulaştık. İnternetteki saatlere göre oraya gidince yarım saat sonra kalkması gerekiyordu. Ancak kapılar kapalı ve vapur kalkış saatleri değişmişti. Planladığımız gibi olmamıştı. Vapur geç saatte kalktığı için zamanımız azaldı. Bu yüzden sadece bir adayı gezmeye karar verdik. Daha keyifli olmasını istedik. 2 saat Kadıköy sahilde vakit geçirdik. Vakit geldiğinde vapura bindik.

When we boarded the ferry, it was very crowded. Since this wasn't the ferry's first stop, we didn't get to sit where we wanted. We enjoyed the view of the strait from the open area at the top of the ferry. Later, because it was very windy, we moved inside. We found a suitable spot. My husband was tired and fell asleep. I spent the journey watching the sea and enjoying the peace it gave me. After a while, we reached the first island: Kınalı Ada. We were going to visit the last island, Büyük Ada. Before arriving at Büyük Ada, I scanned the other islands from the ferry. They looked beautiful. It was like a holiday resort. I thought to myself that the people living here must have a long life. 🙂

Vapura bindiğimizde çok kalabalıktı. Vapurun ilk kalkış yeri burası olmadığı için istediğimiz yere oturmadık. Vapurun en üstüne açık alanda boğazın keyfini çıkardık. Daha sonra çok estiği için iç kısma geçtik. Uygun bir yer bulduk. Eşim yorgundu ve uyudu. Bende denizi ve verdiği huzuru seyrederek yolculuğumu yaptım. Bir süre sonra ilk adaya ulaştık: Kınalı Ada. Biz en son ada olan Büyük Ada'yı gezecektik. Büyük Adaya gelmeden diğer adaları vapur üzerinden göz gezdirdim. Çok güzel duruyordu. Tatil şehri gibiydi. Burada yaşayanların ömrü uzuyordur diye düşündüm içimden. 🙂

The ferry arrived at its final stop, Büyük Ada. When we disembarked, there were shops inside the pier. It had a historical appearance along with its structure. After leaving the pier, it was extremely crowded. At first, we had difficulty walking. Later, as we progressed along the streets, it became quieter. We looked up places to visit online. We started visiting them one by one. As we walked down the street, there was a soda shop. The pavement at the shop's entrance was decorated with soda bottle caps. It created a beautiful image. Outside the shop, sodas were placed on a wooden stand. The colourful fizzy drinks created a riot of colour. It looked very nice and eye-catching. We bought one fizzy drink each from there. We sipped them as we walked along the streets.

Vapur son durağına geldi. Yani Büyük Ada'ya. Vapurdan indiğimizde iskelenin içersinde dükkanlar vardı. Yapısıyla birlikte tarihi görünümü vardı. İskeleden çıktıktan sonra aşırı kalabalık vardı. İlk başta yürümekte zorlandık. Daha sonra caddelerinde ilerlediğimizde daha sakindi. İnternet üzerinden gezilecek yerlere baktık. Sırayla gezmeye başladık. Caddede yürürken gazozcu vardı. Dükkanın girişine kaldırımı gazoz kapaklarıyla süslenmişti. Güzel görüntü oluşturmuştu. Dükkanın dış kısmına ise tahta standa gazozlar yerleştirilmişti. Renkli renkli gazozlar renk cümbüşü oluşturmuş. Çok hoş ve dikkat çekici görünüyordu. Buradan birer tane gazoz aldık. Caddelerde yürürken yudumladık.

The streets were very clean and quiet. Apart from visitors, we encountered very few people in the gardens of the houses. There were flowering trees in shades of purple and pink lining the streets. They must be native to the island, as most were found in front of houses. They created a very beautiful scene on the streets. There were some very beautiful villas. Villas that I admired, wondering how they had managed to make them so beautiful, and thinking about how I would decorate them if they were mine. 🙂 Living here was truly a great opportunity. I must admit I envied the people who lived there. Because it was an enviable place.

Caddeler çok temiz ve sessizdi. Ziyarete gelenler dışında evinin bahçesinde bulunan çok az kişiye denk geldik. Caddelerde mor ve pembe tonlarında çiçek ağaçları vardı. Adaya özgü olmalı ki çoğu evlerin önünde bulunuyordu. Caddelerde çok güzel görüntü oluşturmuştu. Çok güzel villalar vardı. Hayranlıkla izlediğim, bu villayı nasıl bu kadar güzel yapmışlar dediğim, benim olsaydı nasıl dekore ederdim dediğim villalar.🙂 Burada yaşamak büyük şanstı gerçekten. Yaşayanları da kıskandım açıkçası. Çünkü kıskanılacak bir bir yerdi.

First, we went to the mosque. The courtyard of the mosque was spotless and beautifully designed. There were gazebos to sit in. It was planted with flowers that I would describe as unique to the island. It was a very airy garden. Unlike other mosques, this mosque did not have a dome. It had a different architectural style. When we entered the interior, like every mosque, it featured calligraphy and ceramic art. It also had a view of the sea, a very beautiful view.

İlk olarak camiye gittik. Caminim avlusu tertemiz ve çok güzel planlanmıştı. Oturmaya kamelyalar vardı. Yine adaya özgü dediğim çiçeklerden dikilmişti. Çok ferah bir bahçeydi. Cami ise diğer camilerden farklı olarak kubbesi yoktu. Farklı mimarı tarzı vardı. İç kısmına girdiğimizde her cami gibi hat ve çini sanatı yerini almıştı. Manzarası da denize bakıyor , çok güzel manzarası vardı.

After spending some time here, one of the places we could visit was the Sabıncakis mansion. We continued on our way to the mansion. The streets were the same again, every street and every alley looked identical. The same tranquillity, the same flowers and the same mansions. We walked for 10 minutes and arrived at our destination. The mansion was two-storeyed and surrounded by greenery. It was forbidden to enter. We examined it from the outside and then left to explore other places.

Burda biraz vakit geçirdikten sonra ziyaret edilebilecek yerlerden biri de Sabıncakis köşküydü. Köşk'e gitmek için yola devam ettik. Caddeler yine aynı her cadde her sokak birbirinin aynısı gibiydi. Aynı sakinlik aynı çiçekler ve aynı köşkler. İstediğimiz yere 10 dakika yürüdükten sonra geldik. Köşk iki katlı ve yeşilliklerle çevrilmişti. İçeri girmek yasaktı. Dışarıdan inceledik ve daha sonra başka yerleri keşfetmek için ayrıldık.

On the island, there were only police vehicles and electric minibuses. Apart from that, transport was by bicycle and electric motorbike. We didn't hire bicycles. We preferred to walk. Without cars, the streets and avenues were quieter and more peaceful. Without cars, I'm sure cycling is more enjoyable. While enjoying these quiet streets, we came across an antique shop. We wanted to explore the shop. It was very cluttered when we went inside. The shopkeeper said it had two rooms and showed us the way. In the first room we entered, art had been made from seashells. One of them was shaped like a bird. There were three more birds on top of one bird. It was eye-catching. Alongside the old items, there were various handicrafts. There were even broken items. There was a wide variety, including kitchenware, decorative items, clothing, televisions, paintings, musical instruments, and toys. My wife and I liked a vase made of clay. We bought the vase as a decorative item to remember the island.

Ada'da araba sadece polis araçları ve elektrikli dolmuşlar vardı. Bunun dışında ulaşım bisiklet ve elektrikli motorla yapılıyordu. Biz bisiklet kiralamadık. Yürümeyi tercih ettik. Araba olmadığı için cadde ve sokaklar daha sessiz ve huzurluydu. Arabalar olmayınca eminim bisiklet sürmek daha keyiflidir. Bu sakin caddelerin tadını çıkarırken karşımıza antika dükkanı çıktı. Dükkanı gezmek istedik. İçeriye girdiğimizde çok karmaşıktı. Dükkan sahibi iki odalı olduğunu söyledi ve bize yol gösterdi. İlk girdiğimiz odada deniz kabuklarından sanat yapılmıştı. Onlardan biri de kuş yapılmıştı. Bir tane kuşun üzerinde üç tane daha kuş vardı. Dikkat çekici duruyordu. Eski eşyaların yanında farklı el sanatları yapılmıştı. Kırık eşyalar bile vardı. Mutfak eşyaları, süs eşyaları, kıyafet, televizyon, tablolar, müzik aletleri, oyuncaklar gibi birçok çeşit vardı. Eşimle bir tane topraktan yapılmış vazo beğendik. Adadan hatıra kalsın diye süs eşyası olarak vazo aldık.

After that, we came to the market area of the island. There were places selling souvenirs for visitors here. The ice cream was very famous. There were lots of ice cream parlours. We bought ice cream from one of them. They didn't just give you plain ice cream, they decorated it. I thought it was a good tactic to attract customers. The decorations were very successful indeed. After the ice cream, we continued our tour. There was a clock tower in the middle of the square. There was a lot of interest in the clock tower. People wanting to take photos were queuing up. It was impossible to find a clear view of it. I think it deserved this interest. It had a wonderful appearance, decorated with flowers. The square here consisted of the clock tower, shops, and restaurants. Compared to the other streets, this area was very busy and noisy. After that, we went down to the beach. There was an evening chill. Walking by the sea was very pleasant. After walking for a while, it was time for our ferry. We said goodbye to the island. It was a very enjoyable day. I would love to live in a place like this. It resembled the place I would like to live, where I could be happy. Very peaceful and quiet.
I definitely recommend experiencing this peace.

Buradan sonra adanın çarşı kısmına geldik. Burada ziyarete gelenler için hediyelik eşyalar satan yerler vardı. Dondurması çok meşhurmuş. Bir sürü dondurmacı vardı. Herhangi bir tanesinden dondurma aldık. Dondurmalar sade verilmiyor, süsleyip veriyorlardı. Müşteri kazanmak için güzel taktikti bence. Süslemeleri çok başarılıydı çünkü. Dondurmadan sonra gezmeye devam ettik. Meydanın ortasında saat kulesi vardı. Saat kulesine çok ilgi vardı. Fotoğraf çekmek isteyenler sıra bekliyordu. Önünü boş bulmak imkansızdı. Bu ilgiyi hakediyordu bence. Çiçekle donatılmış harika görüntüsü vardı. Buradaki meydan saat kulesi, alışveriş ve restorantlardan oluşuyordu. Burası da diğer caddelere göre çok yoğun ve gürültülüydü. Buradan sonra sahile indik. Akşam serinliği vardı. Deniz kenarında yürümek çok keyifliydi. Bir müddet yürüdükten sonra vapur saatimiz gelmişti. Adaya veda ettik. Çok keyifli bir gün oldu. Böyle yerde yaşamayı çok isterdim. Benim yaşamak istediğim, mutlu olabileceğim yere benziyordu. Çok huzurlu ve sessiz.
