Hello everyone, I hope you are well and everything is going smoothly. The weather in Istanbul has been a bit unusual lately. While it was almost summer-like just 3-4 days ago, temperatures have suddenly dropped and heavy rain has started to fall. As a result, infectious diseases have started to increase. Many people around me, including myself, are sick. Even though I went to the doctor and started taking medication, I can't say I'm fully recovered yet. Anyway, today I'll continue talking about my village memories.

Herkese merhaba, umarım iyisinizdir ve her şey yolundadır. Son günlerde İstanbul’da havalar biraz değişik. 3-4 gün önce neredeyse yaz sıcaklıkları hakimken bugünlerde sıcaklıklar bir anda düştü ve şiddetli yağmur etkisini göstermeye başladı. Dolayısıyla salgın hastalıklarda artmaya başladı. Ben de dahil çevremde birçok kişi hasta. Doktora görünüp ilaç almaya başlasam da tam anlamıyla iyileştiğim söylenemez. Her neyse, bugün köy anılarımdan bahsetmeye devam edeceğim.

Although I only spent a short time in my hometown during the summer vacation, looking at the gallery, I see I visited many places. These days, I want to beam myself back to those days. 😅
If I'm not mistaken, I shared some of the places I'm posting about here 2-3 years ago.
To be honest, this trip was unplanned. My uncle's car broke down, and we took it to the nearest repair shop to get it fixed.

Yaz tatilinde memlekette kısa süre vakit geçirmiş olsam da galeriye baktığımda birçok yer gezmişim. Şu günlerde tekrardan o günlere ışınlanmak istiyorum. 😅
Bu gönderide paylaşımını yaptığım yerlerin bir kısmını yanlış hatırlamıyorsam 2-3 yıl önce paylaşmıştım.
Açık konuşmak gerekirse bu gezi plansız oldu. Dayımın aracı bozulmuştu ve tamir etmek için en yakın sanayiye götürmüştük.

After finishing our work in the factory, we set off back to the village.
First, I want to talk a little about olive trees. Before the dam was built, there were no olive trees or olive farming in the region, or very few. After the dam was built, the region's climate changed somewhat, and humid weather began to appear. Those who owned fields seized this opportunity and began planting olive trees. This situation became important not only for farmers but also for nature.

Sanayide işimiz bittikten sonra tekrar köye dönmek için yola çıktık.
İlk olarak zeytin ağaçlarından biraz bahsetmek istiyorum. Baraj yapılmadan önce bölgede zeytin ağacı ve çiftçiliği yoktu ya da yok denecek kadar azdı. Baraj yapımından sonra bölgenin iklimi kısmen de olsa değişti ve nemli havalar kendini göstermeye başladı. Tarlası olanlar bu durumu fırsat bilerek zeytin dikmeye başladılar. Bu durum sadece çiftçiler için değil, tabiat için de önemli bir durum haline geldi.

Behind the hill where the olive trees are located, there is a beautiful view of the dam. I would even say it's the most beautiful view for me. When I shared this place with my friends, I couldn't convince them that it was my hometown. One of my friends even claimed it was Artvin. 😅

Zeytin ağaçlarının bulunduğu tepenin arkasında barajın güzel bir manzarası bulunuyor. Hatta benim için en güzeli diyebilirim. Burayı arkadaşlarımla paylaştığımda memleketim olduğuna inandıramamıştım. Hatta bir arkadaşım Artvin olduğunu iddia etmişti. 😅

The high mountain you see in this photo is the place I shared a few weeks ago. Although it looks very scary when viewed from above, it looks more beautiful when viewed from here. I don't know if it will ever happen, but one of my dreams for the future is to parachute from this mountain and land on the edge of the dam.

Bu fotoğrafta gördüğünüz yüksek dağ ise geçen haftalarda paylaşımını yaptığım yer. Yukardan baktığımda çok ürkütücü gibi gözükse de buradan baktığımda daha güzel duruyor. Bilmiyorum gerçek olur mu ama ilerideki hayallerimden birisi de bu dağdan paraşütle atlayıp barajın kenarına inmek.

I definitely take my relatives and friends who come from different cities here for sightseeing.
The lake's popularity has increased significantly over the past few years. I started seeing it frequently on social media and news channels. In addition to boat tours, different activities have also started to be organized. There are even festivals and concerts. It is a truly important development for our district and village in economic and cultural terms.

Farklı şehirlerden gelen akrabalarımı, arkadaşlarımı gezi için buralara kesinlikle götürüyorum.
Son birkaç yıldır gölün popülerliği bayağı arttı. Sosyal medyalarda, haber kanallarında sık sık görmeye başladım. Bot turlarının yanında farklı etkinlikler de düzenlenmeye başlandı. Hatta festivaller, konserler bile veriliyor. Ekonomik ve kültürel anlamda ilçemiz ve köyümüz için gerçekten çok önemli bir gelişme.

Unfortunately, some situations cast a shadow over this beautiful view. Sadly, some inconsiderate people throw their trash here, creating a very unpleasant sight. Worse still, trash had been dumped in the fields. The field owners must have been quite upset about this, as they wrote messages and hung them up as banners. I didn't want to share them here because they contained slang words. I hope people take the messages to heart and stop littering.

Bazı durumlar maalesef bu güzel manzaraya biraz gölge düşürüyor. Ne yazık ki bazı bilinçsiz insanlar çöplerini buraya atıyor ve çok kötü bir görüntü oluşturuyor. Daha da kötüsü tarlalara da çöpler atılmıştı. Tarla sahipleri bu durumdan oldukça şikayetçi olmalı ki yazı yazıp pankart şeklinde asmışlar. Argo kelimeler olduğu için burada paylaşmak istemedim. Umarım yazıları dikkate alıp etrafa çöp atmazlar.

After spending some time at the top, we headed back towards the village. I took the last photos I shared from inside the car. One last thing I wanted to mention is that, as you may have noticed, the roadside is a cliff with no barriers. The risk of fatalities in a potential accident is high. The authorities are probably aware of the situation, but I sent the photos to the relevant places again and explained the situation. I hope the necessary precautions are taken soon.

Bir müddet tepede vakit geçirdikten sonra köye doğru hareket ettik. Son paylaştığım fotoğrafları aracın içerisinden çektim. Son olarak değinmek istediğim bir konu da fark ettiyseniz yolun kenarı uçurum ve herhangi bir bariyer yok. Olası bir kazada can kaybının olma ihtimali yüksek. Yetkililer muhtemelen durumun farkındalar ancak ben tekrardan ilgili yerlere fotoğraf atıp durumu izah ettim. Umarım kısa süre içerisinde gerekli önlemler alınır.

After a journey of about 40 minutes, I arrived home. Although it was an unplanned, spontaneous trip, it was a very nice day. I reminisced about the old days and had a pleasant time. I hope to see you again next summer.

Yaklaşık 40 dakikalık bir yolculuğun ardından eve ulaştım. Plansız, ani gelişen bir gezi olmasına rağmen çok güzel bir gündü. Eski günleri hatırlayıp keyifli vakit geçirdim. Önümüzdeki yazın tekrardan görebilmeyi umut ediyorum.
