Beykoz-Hidiv Pavilion/Hidiv Kasrı 🏞️

Have a good weekend, everyone. I hope you are well. On the first day of Bayram, we went to Beykoz with my wife and my friend. I think I touched on this in the Küçüksu Pavilion post. Today I will talk about another stop of our trip, the Hidiv Pavilion. When I first heard the word Hidiv, I wondered and researched its meaning. It means nobility, judge. Herkese iyi hafta sonları. Umarım iyisinizdir. Bayramın ilk günü eşim ve arkadaşımla birlikte Beykoz’a gezmeye gitmiştik. Küçüksu Kasrı postunda sanırım buna değinmiştim. Bugün gezimizin diğer bir durağı olan Hidiv kasrından bahsedeceğim. Hidiv kelimesini ilk duyduğumda anlamını merak edip araştırmıştım. Soyluluk, hakim gibi anlamlara gelmekteymiş. There was not much traffic because it was a holiday. We travelled from Ümraniye to Beykoz in about 15 minutes. It is impossible to go at this time in normal times.
After parking the car in a suitable place, we started walking on the walking path. They made a walking path from artificial grass on the right side of the road. Maybe it was carpet, I don't know, but it was very pleasant to walk because it was soft. If I could walk for an hour without stopping, I probably wouldn't get tired. If my house was close to here, I would come here regularly and take a walk. It would be a very good area for me when I started doing sports. 😄

Bayram olduğu için çok fazla trafik yoktu. Ümraniye’den Beykoz’a yaklaşık 15 dakikada gittik. Normal zamanlarda bu vakitlerde gitmek imkansız.
Arabayı müsait bir yere park ettikten sonra yürüyüş yolundan yürümeye başladık. Yolun hemen sağ tarafına yapay çimden yürüyüş yolu yapmışlar. Belkide halıydı bilmiyorum ama yumuşak olduğu için yürümesi çok keyifliydi. Bir saat durmadan yürüsem muhtemelen yorulmazdım. Evim buraya yakın olsaydı eğer düzenli olarak buraya gelip yürüyüş yapardım. Hazır spora da başlamışken çok iyi bir alan olurdu benim için. 😄

It was very hot that day, but since we were surrounded by trees, we almost didn't feel the heat at all, it was cool. After walking for about 1 km, we took a photo at a place resembling an observation deck with a sea view. Would you look at the view? Isn't it really beautiful. I really love the Bosphorus views of Istanbul.

O gün hava çok sıcaktı ancak etrafımız ağaçlarla çevrili olduğu için neredeyse sıcağı hiç hissetmedik, serin bir hava hakimdi. Yaklaşık 1 km yürüdükten sonra seyir terasını andıran, deniz manzaralı bir yerde fotoğraf çekindik. Manzaraya bakar mısınız? Gerçekten çok güzel değil mi. İstanbul’un boğaz manzaralarını gerçekten çok seviyorum.

We walked from the walkway to the other end of the pavilion. Then we proceeded to the part where the waterfall was. I took so many photos that I had a hard time choosing while sharing. Since my friend had been here before, it was more advantageous for us. If we had come alone with my wife, we probably would not have seen many places.

Yürüyüş yolundan kasrın diğer ucuna kadar yürüdük. Daha sonra ise şelalenin olduğu kısma ilerledik. O kadar çok fotoğraf çektim ki paylaşım yaparken seçim konusunda zorlandım. Arkadaşım buraya daha önce geldiği için bizim için daha avantajlı oldu. Eşimle yalnız gelseydik muhtemelen birçok yeri göremeyecektik.

When we arrived at the waterfall, I felt like I was in Rize. We camped in such places many times during our university years. Even once I slipped and fell while taking a photo in front of the waterfall. 😄
We took photos quickly without wasting much time. Because my friend told me that this is an artificial waterfall and there are intermittent interruptions. We were really lucky, we spent about 10 minutes at the waterfall and the water was never cut off.

Şelalenin oraya geldiğimizde kendimi Rizede gibi hissettim. Üniversite yıllarında birçok kez böyle yerlerde kamp yaptık. Hatta bir defasında şelalenin önünde fotoğraf çekilirken ayağım kayıp düşmüştüm. 😄
Çok vakit kaybetmeden hızlı hızlı fotoğraflar çektik. Çünkü arkadaşım buranın yapay şelale olduğunu ara ara kesinti olduğunu söyledi. Gerçekten çok şanslıydık yaklaşık 10 dakika şelalenin orda vakit geçirdik ve su hiç kesilmedi.

After saying goodbye to the cool waters of the waterfall, we continued walking towards the eastern part of the pavilion. We spent about 45 minutes until this process. We sat in the municipal cafe for a little rest and ordered dessert and cold drinks. The prices were very reasonable. My friend told me that there was a wedding here before and it was very crowded. I think we visited this place at the best time. 😄
It was very calm and quiet.

Şelalenin serin sularına veda ettikten sonra kasrın doğu kısmına doğru yürüyüşe devam ettik. Bu sürece kadar yaklaşık 45 dakika vakit harcadık. Biraz dinlenmek için belediyeye ait kafeye oturup tatlı ve soğuk içecek sipariş ettik. Fiyatları gayet uygundu. Arkadaşım daha önce buraya geldiğinde düğün olduğunu ve çok kalabalık olduğunu söylemişti. Sanırım biz burayı en güzel zamanda gezdik. 😄
Çok sakin ve sessizdi.

There was a remarkable tree right near the cafe. They tried to decorate the tree with engravings. They probably peeled the bark of the tree to do this. Yes, it is a remarkable situation, but I think there was no need for such a thing. The trees are already beautiful and very harmonious with the pavilion. I think there is no need to direct people's attention here. There was another remarkable tree a little further away. It was tried to be protected by supporting the drying part. I think there is no need for this either, because if the drying part is removed from the tree, it will be healthier for both the tree and the environment. I forgot to take a photo of it. If you had seen it, I am sure you would have agreed with me.

Kafenin hemen yakınlarında dikkat çekici bir ağaç vardı. İşlemerle ağaç süslenilmeye çalışılmış. Bu işlemi yapmak için muhtemelen ağacın kabuğunu soymuşlar. Evet, dikkat çekici bir durum ancak böyle bir şeye bence hiç gerek yoktu. Ağaçlar zaten güzel ve gayet kasırla uyumlu durumda. İnsanların dikkatini buraya yönlendirmeye hiç gerek yok diye düşünüyorum. Biraz daha ilerisinde dikkat çekici bir ağaç daha vardı. Kuruyan kısmı desteklenerek koruma altına alınmaya çalışılmış. Bence buna da gerek yok çünkü kuruyan kısmı ağaçtan arındırılsa hem ağaç için hem de çevre için daha sağlıklı olacaktır. Fotoğrafını çekmeyi unutmuşum. We went to the garden market where the flowers were sold. My friend had told me that she had bought some indoor flowers at a good price. However, it was closed because it was a holiday. We ended our trip at this market, which is the last point of the pavilion. We spent approximately 1.5,2 hours. I can easily put this place in the top 3 among the most beautiful places I have visited in Istanbul. I would definitely recommend you to visit if you are on your way.

Yürüyüş yolundan çiçeklerin satıldığı bahçe markete gittik. Arkadaşım daha öncesinde buradan uygun fiyata salon çiçeği aldığını söylemişti. Ancak bayram olduğu için kapalıydı. Kasrın son noktası olan bu marketin orada gezimizi sonlandırdık. Yaklaşık olarak 1.5,2 saat vakit geçirdik. Burayı İstanbul’da gezdiğim en güzel yerler arasında ilk 3’e rahatlıkla koyabilirim. Yolunuz düşerse mutlaka ziyaret etmenizi tavsiye ederim.
